Hi Kath and Boro.
I think I'll have the different strains of evil up tomorrow. I need to revise the story slightly first. Will a 5 PM EST deadline meet with approval?

Definately, though 6pm would probably be better for me.

Then I'd prefer the later one if possible because I have a really, really bad time making a 10pm deadline.

Ok, if anyone signs up late, I'll find some way of squeezing him in. And I'm not going by the story that only a few Balrogs ever existed.
3 Trolls 4 Balrogs 2 Fire-Drakes 2 Winged Dragons 1 Werewolf The Blue Wizard Alatar I just assume the last named went bad. Don't ask why.

Go ahead and do so now, but if someone sees a reason for everyone to proclaim on this thread what they've chosen, please do that.
So far I have received 9 choices. (I'll update that regularly.)

If the choices will be known by everyone from Night1 narration I see no reason to hide the choices - and it would be easier to see which "roles" have been taken already. But if there is a reason storytellingwise or other to conceal the choices then we should of course hold our mouths...

Hmm. We may have to go with only 12 players. That ought to be ok, but I will have to cut back on one of the trolls or Alatar. The game begins in less than twenty-four hours, so those of you who have not sent me your choice, please do so soon or I will assign you one when the game begins. Roles will be PMed within a few hours.
Any last minute votes for DL? It is presently 5 or 6 PM EST, and looks like it will be 6, since 3 players have favored it and only myself and Agan want 5.

Well, if you need someone....I suppose I could be persuaded to join.
Either deadline I'll be away for, but I'll do my best if you want me. If not, no hard feelings. I'm rather busy, but you look a few people short and I'm always good lynch fodder.

Thanks, Sally.
For those of you who have not chosen a 'role', these are what remain: Alatar 2 Trolls 1 Fire-Drake

So what are we going to do with Christmas?
At least we in Finland (Nog & I) will probably be rather busy tomorrow but as it's Night then, it shouldn't be that bad. So would we have a prolonged night (ie tomorrow and the day after tomorrow), or a normal night and a prolonged day after that? Or something else? And should we tell our preferences here or PM them to you?

I can't see why Night preferences should be PM'd.
I'm totally fine with having a prolonged Night, because that just means the Wolves have longer to talk and the Bear has longer to pick who s/he is going to rip to shreds.

Don't send me anything regarding these long night phases unless you have to. I'm getting to many PMs as it is.

Bowie neither could I but I wanted to play it safe.
I'd prefer a normal night and a prolonged day that lasts 48 hours. I'd be fine with a normal day as well though.

So Gollum is it a long Day or Night then?
I'd prefer a long night because I definately won't be able to post tomorrow.

In regards to Ilya's narration
Yes, I know, I'm thick. Sorry.
So was Ilya bad or good? (It would probably help the dummies like me if you put the person's role next to their name when they die, by the way.) Then again, I'm sure when I read the narration with the help of a proper nap it'll make more sense. Sorry again, I'm just a bit confused today. I just wanted to know so I didn't interpret the game thread wrong when I read through it tomorrow. *hushes*

Just a quick note
FYI, Ilya is a female...even if her screen name may indicate otherwise.
And yes, I know I'm dead...so I'm gone now.

Is the next Day going to start in five hours or is there an extended Night-shift also on this Night?

I'm glad I was eaten on day 1, I made a switch to windows vista and it's been a severe pain. I've been internet-less for 2-days, and was going to come in to apologize for me entire day's absense. But, I see I didn't have to.
Good luck to all.

Hey, I probably won't be around for the first few hours of the Day. Just depends on how things go at work, but I figured I'd let you all know.
There best be lots of posts when I get back though~! ~~Sally~~

Not that you care, but....
I'm actually not working tonight because there was nothing for me to do, so I will in fact be around whenever the Day starts. (Assuming of course that I'm alive, but I'm an optimist.)

Hey, Gollum. I think you're going to have to go ahead and modkill me; I don't really feel comfortable coming in at such a late date, and probably the best thing I can do right now is take myself out of consideration so the innocents don't concentrate on me. I'm really sorry, you guys, and I hope to be able to participate in the next game.

I apologize everyone for my absence. With the Arctic storm that hit our area, we lost power. Then had to continue to stay away because of possible flooding. We were only just now about to return. I'm sorry.
