Aw...so nobody would be interested in seeing a teenage Gimli, or Durin the Deathless if it comes to it?
Heehee...I haven't thought up any new deaths, but I just finished something for the first day...it's truly horrible...*evil giggle*

I don't think I know what you are refering to, but of course I would be interested in seeing Durin the Deathless. . . he be cool!

Is there still room for one more player? I was just invited by someone I couldn't refuse.. and furthermore, it has been brought up to my attention that THE Nilp has decided to play!! I just can't miss a game both Spawn and Nilp are in.
Please Miz Oddwen?

If you would like to be a young Gimli, or Durin the (perhaps) Deathless, then yes you may.
A note on Gimli - I read in (Unfinished Tales, I think?) that he wanted to go along with his father for revenge on Smaug, but was counted too young. I don't think I'm getting him mixed up with Dain Ironfoot.

Another possibility for an additional role might be Radagast the Brown, as Beorn knew him and Rhosgobel, as I recall, wasn't too far away.
Your decision, though, Oddwen.

Durin the deathless should be fine... perhaps it's a name of good omen for the game!!!

I'm really looking towards this! And seeing Spawn for so long time ago! And Ang, I don't wish to help an innocent lynch of you a third time, so try to understand my reluctance to begin with... And Rune & Farael both in: those two I always suspected! Maybe I can change my ways this time as I more often than not get it wrong with you two (not countring the last one with Farael). And Lommy the wolf-Nogrod-slayer too! This is looking good indeed!

A lynch too far!!!!
Sacrilege, I say, sacrilege! Who could ever even contemplate lynching a Gandalf or a Bilbo or a Thorin--much less doing so? More tellingly, who would have such a dastardly mind as to assign a wolf (or various other nasty roles) to such "narrative" names?
Oh, and it won't end here, I'm sure. I fear a future game based on an Inkling theme where even The Professor himself is not immune to lynching. The horror! The horror!

It's about time I get back into one of these. I haven't played one with the lovers yet and seeing Spawn and Nilp again is just far to appealing for me to resist.
If you're looking for a teenage Gimli (or Radagast) still slot me in. If not, no trouble.

Which would you rather be, Baity-ait?
Enrollment will be closed tomorrow (Friday) evening, 8 PM MST (gmt -7).

I think I'll go up on Menel's proposal and take Radagast. Nothing personal against Gimli, but Gimli already gets enough book time...now it's time for everyone to actually see what Radagast has been up to all this time.

Quite an invasion of Finns here, over 20% of the players. And the whole roster looks just awesome!
Ms. Moddwen, I'd have a question. Will the game begin with a Night phase, and if so, will it start on Sunday (7th) or Monday (8th)?

I stepped away for a few days for work and I come back and see who's signed up...wow. This is going to be an extremely interesting game. Can't wait to get started. I quit my job for this.

Hi, all.
I have come down with a flu thing and can hardly function. I don't know how long it will last. My dad was in bed for three days with it. I can't promise to be here for the beginning of the game so please remove my name. I'm so sorry. I sincerely hope you can find a replacement player for me. I meant to write earlier, but I was miserable and sleepy all day and am only well enough to write this by hand in bed, and have my sister type it up(thus explaining for any typos). Good luck, everyone. I'll be back soon, I hope. -- Folwren

Sorry to hear that, Folwren. Being sick is never fun.
Would anyone like to sign up as Dori, or would Durin or Radagast like to claim him perhaps? Otherwise, the sign-up is closed.

I am going to have to flip a coin and take either Durin or Radagast out - roles will be assigned and PMed out either tonight or tomorrow morning, first NIGHT phase begins tomorrow morning.
*ching* Farael, hope you don't mind being Dori. I'll see if I can't put Durin the Deathless in as a cameo somewhere.

I have just sent out everyone's roles. Wolves may not communicate until I open the game thread tomorrow. Twins may not communicate until the first Day's discussions.
If I missed anyone, like the person whose PM box is full, please get ahold of me.

Just to inform you all...
Beorn will be around mostly at late hours (ww-wise) because of the bear rituals*.

Thank you all *bows*
It was made with Garage Band, the song in the background is a cover of Tool's "Sober" as performed by the String Quartet Tribute.

Quick question English people, is the time of Oddwen's post right? So the deadline would be 3:30 PM?

just to let y'all know, I'm finding the names particularly hilarious. It's a hoot watching the rhyming confusion.
Nice touch with the theme music too, Oddwen.

Ok, I think I missed something here... can anyone tell me what time the deadline is in Central time? I thought it'd be around 10 my time, bit I'm clearly off.

I forgot that the BDs was having some trouble with its internal clock.
What does everyone say to using this world clock instead? You would be looking at MST (gmt-7) for the deadline.
