Additional rule.
At the end of the Day (or earlier if a majority is reached before this) the player with the most votes is lynched (killed) and their secret role is revealed. If votes are tied at the end of a full 24hr day a player will be selected at random from ALL PLAYERS LIVING AND UNDEAD and will be deemed to have been killed in the crush of the mob.. To retract a vote embolden the name with -- before it and cast a new vote. EG: -- Mithalwen ++ Erenor. If you retract a vote and do not give a new vote you will be deemed to have voted for yourself.
If you do not vote and unassailable majority is not reached. You will be deemed to have voted for yourself. Remember - you have a retractable vote. The Mythomaniac may only choose from those living at the end of day 1. If I were starting again I would have said that if they choose the same bod as the wolves they are dead too. the person they choose will not be publically revealed until the game is over. BTW Please use characters names not the names of the people they impersonate... there are ways of indicating that you know without spoiling the pleasure of recognition for others. Thank you.

Hmm... so if seven votes are not reached, what happens? does the Day continue until they are? Or is the person with the most votes lynched? Or do you choose somebody random?

While I am disappointed by the turnout. This was posted in the first post on this board and it will stand. Off to fix the gallows.....................

It's also the day the US finally beat us Brits, so they're all off and partying. Voter turnout should be higher new Day.

If things don't improve .....hmmmm I feel Gil was unlucky since the uncast vote could theoretically have changed things but it seemed unfair to go completely random when most had tried. I will have to ponder the way ahead but I am very disappointed
Right Night has started. Wolves and the Hunter/ guardian may communicate. The wolves need to tell me who the want to kill The guardian needs to tell me who they want to protect, The mythomaniac needs to tell me the name of the player they want to match with. It would be helpful but less essential for the hunter to tell me who they want to kill in the event of their death tonight. Sleep peacefully children.

But Mith after a while it will become impossible to reach a 7 vote majority because there won't be enough people to make this work. What then?

Mith has cleverly arranged for there to be an odd number of players (or maybe it was chance, who knows). With an odd number, you can always have a majority.
Tomorrow, the majority needs will be 6. Then 5, then 4, then 3, then 2. |

Bah, I missed all the excitement!
I've been having trouble with my brother commandeering that computer, so sorry for my lack of activity and vote. Weekends are usually worse than weekdays, so I'll start tossing him off. Unfortunately, he's bigger than me... Sorry, Gil. |

Yes the number of players was a happy accident. I had asked for a dozen players because it had been a good number when I played the first game - but I had forgotten that poor Shelob had got killed before the start leaving 11. So that is why I called in a sub when Lhuna pulled out. Thanks Fea!
For the same reason if Sophie does not respond to my e mails very shortly, I am going to ask Gil to reincarnate in her place.

But we already know that Gil-Galad was an innocent villager, or is he going to take on Sophie's secret role?

If this happens - Gil will be in the secret role drawn by Sophie which of course might be the same as the secret role drawn by Gil which has now been revealed.
think of it as parts in a play - Gil will be doubling up that is all. I physical person 2 roles. anyway this is still academic. He will have had no benefit from having already played a part. Sophie has not even picked up her original notification messages. I hope she is OK. But I want the game to go as planned if possible.

Nota Bene
Sophia has not Logged on to the board since 1st July.
She has not collected her messages regarding her role in the game. Therefore she has had no participation or knowledge to date. Just to make things clear since she is being mentioned on the game board. thank you

It maybe just me but isn't it weird to talk about Gil-Galad to Gil-galad!

It is a little odd. And then there's the ackwardness of lynching him the first time around.

I can! Afterall, you weren't ressurected which means you would be the ever-lovable now proven innocent Gil-Galad, no sir, you were reincarnated as Gil-Galad the Thunder Mister(ess)! Soooo, you could still be innocent but maybe not.

I think there is too much needless chit chat on this thread. We need to be careful what is said here. I thought this was only to talk about game play aspects and questions.

Needless chit chat is helping take away from the fact we're ripping each other apart in the actual game, morm!
But I was really gonna say Gil-Galad wasn't really the one we lynched. It was clearly he's evil twin Gil-Gabad. Not our loveable Gil! I'm just curious when does Day 2 end?

Day and Night phases are 24 hours. If you are like me and haven't got the GMT zone things worked out, that's okay, whenever Mithalwen posts a Day or Night post look at the upper left hand corner and that gives the time (your own) of the post and you will know you have 24 hours to do business.

Side note: Could we not chat on the notice board thread about the game? That's what the game thread and daylight hours are for. I've gotten suspicions from some of you from what you've said on here that I'm not sure I'm allowed to cite. That's really just not fair.

Mithalwen,
Presuming you have Internet explorer, you can find all votes by: 1) Going to the bar at the top of the screen. 2) Clicking 'edit' 3) Clicking 'Find (on this page)' 4) Typing in '++' 5) Pressing Enter. Alternatively, press Control and F and the 'Find' box will come up automatically. This means you'll get all the votes, and you don't even have to search for them yourself. |

Make sure to do a search for '--' as well though.
