How about:
Nandor, the Telerin Elves daunted by the Misty Mountains. From this race came the Wood-elves of Mirkwood and the Galadhrim of Lórien.

Nazgul would work as a race. They're an endangered species, and dangerous...
I wonder, would you count nine dudes as a race? you could, I guess.

Adjudicative intervention ...
Actually, I think the topic should be relatively strictly drawn - otherwise it could go on for much longer than it should.
I don't think that Nazgul - or Kelvar for that matter - should count (sorry pio and Sophia). The topic is races or types of peoples. The Nazgul cannot really be described as either, being a limited number of 'created' undead creatures. Anyway, the next letter is 'R' ...

Than may it be counted, if I add in people (subjects?) of Rhudaur? I mean, it was an independent country at one moment (part of former Northern Kingdom), so, probably its people thought of themselfs as Dunedain and Rhudaurians, or something? The next letter would be R again, though

well, since nobody has challenged Rhudaurians...
Snow-trolls- mentioned in passing, apparently trolls that lived in the north, where there was snow.

One question (mainly because I find it hard to find race on S , but not only becuase of that) - if race is in English plural, it inevitably has an s on end. So most of what we come up with would be starting with s. I have a suggestion than - maybe it's better to have words that are not in elvish plural, like sindar, in english singular? I know it means I have to change Rhudaurians to mere Rhudaur in that case, but as Sophia already answered, let it start with ehr Snow Trolls? I mean, it will be Snow Troll, and the next should be L?
THe question is to moderator. I believe I mean Saucepan Man here

Sophia is not moderator, but she'll venture an opinion. There are lots of plurals ending in "s", but the goal of the game is to land someone with a letter they can't use. We don't want to stay on races forever. So as soon as the "s" words have been exhausted the topic will change, and who knows whether that will be something where plural is relevant.
Saucy says? Sophia

Stoors: A breed of Hobbit. Broader and heavier in build, they had large hands and feet. They preferred flat lands and riversides. Said to be less shy of men, they lingered by the banks of the Great River Anduin before moving north.

Just kidding. But congratulations just the same.
Stone-trolls Yet another sort of troll, this time the kind that Bilbo & co. encountered west of Rivendell. Stonier now than before.

Seems time has passed for a new theme. Which as the last poster I get to pick
Hows about the next theme being: Dwarves (all answers must be names of dwarves, places and events related to dwarves, or objects associated with dwarves, clear?) She begins: Dain- the cousin of Thorin who came in from the Iron Hills just in time for the battle of Five Armies and who became King Under the Mountain after him.

Welcome to the 'Downs Celebriel
The object of this game is to continue the theme by using the last letter of the previous word. So the next word should begin with an L. Lóni: a Dwarf who fell in Moria when the orcs took the bridge at Khazad-Dûm. The next word should begin with an 'I' Thanks Gil-Galad

Seven Fathers of the Dwarves: Made by the Valar Aulë. Illúvatar would not allow them to become the Firstborn, he decreed that they should sleep under stone until such time as the Elves awakened.
