LOL! Funny, Gimli! I can think of a teacher at my school that would probably be that gullible.
I've had LOTR attacks myself. I just finished another fantasy book that I kept comparing to LOTR. Two characters described as smaller men reminded me of Frodo and Sam, another reminding me of Merry. Other characters reminded me of Gandalf, Gimli, Boromir, Sauron, and the Ringwraiths. I thought I was going crazy, but the beginning of that book seemed so similar to LOTR. It was a good book too.

The Sword of Shannara, which is the first book to the Shannara trilogy. It's a really good book and I recommend it to all fantasy lovers. Almost as good as LOTR. Almost.

I've heard some people say that that book is almost exactly like LotR to the point of plagarism. I haven't read it yet, so I don't have a personal opinion, but I think I'll probably read it when I finish the Sil and Unfinished Tales.

Yeah, many people don't like it because of that. That is the majority of opinions at one thread. My opinion of the book can be found here. Right now I'm looking forward to reading the next edition to the Shannara trilogy.

My link doesn't seem to be working, so just look for it under the topic Terry Brooks.

Haha! Gimli, that's priceless! Go you (and your Dad)
Anyway...I always will read somthing that says habbit and will think it says hobbit. Then I will always jump ten feet in the air whenever the word 'ring' is mentioned. I was going to this bookstore and the jewlery store right next to it was called: Galadriel's Jewlery. Then I saw this movie where the Mother calls her child 'precious' and whenever she says that I imedialy think of Gollum.

LOL, there's a restaurant called Gandalf's in Charleston, South Carolina. It serves seafood.
