Sorry, no. It isn't any sort of scream, but rather an exlamation. If that makes any sense at all...

How about everyone at Bilbo's party when he disappeared? Or was that "Oh!"
Cheers, Lyta

Was it Gandalf? When he found the gates of Moria?? I think he said something like ; "Ah, here is it."
I'm not sure however...

Frodo says it to Gandalf (or to himself) when he finds the envelope with the ring, just before Gandalf grabs it and tosses it into the fire?

Alatariel: Excellent! You are correct. After I gave that qoute I released just how dificult that exclamation could be to catch, but I'm glad you caught it. Ask away.

I think that it is best to avoid one word quotes unless they are pretty much unique. Otherwise the question just leads to a long list of answers which, although correct, are not the exact quote which the question-setter had in mind, and the question then becomes a bit of a lottery.

Faye, Alatariel got the correct answer:

Yeah, now we're just waiting for him/her to give her/his quote...I'll try to shy away from the one-worders from now on, though. Or at least the more common ones...

Hm. Is it Merry shrieking at Frodo when the four hobbits are running to the Ferry?

Nope, sorry, that's not it. The hobbits are yelling "Jump Frodo! Go on faster! Jump!" where 'faster' is part of a phrase. "Faster" is the entire quote/sentence.

I know this one I think (I WAS going to use it in a bit, but oh well...): Is it Borimir to Merry near Caradhas (regarding another sword drill)?

Frodo to Sam, when Sam was saying that it was the farthest away from home he had ever been.

I'm still hoping to see proper quotes on this thread, rather than just exclamations.

Saucepan Man: Yes, but it is hard to sneak a DEFICULT longish quote in there. Although I'll try to do just that after it gets back around to me.

Surely there must be a fair few phrases and sentences amongst scenes of dialogue that are not immediately obvious. If you can't think of any of the top of your head, you can always try looking through the scripts that are available on-line. Then again, if you've all seen the film so many times that this game doesn't present any challenge, perhaps it is time to close it down ... [ August 01, 2003: Message edited by: The Saucepan Man ]

Frodo to Sam near the end of the movie in the boat.
or... Bilbo to Gandalf when he arrives at Bag-End. or.... Pippin and Sam to Frodo at Buckleburry Ferry. or.... Either Boromir or Legolas (I can't tell which one) to Aragorn and Frodo in Moria when the stairs are collapsing. Is one of these the one you're looking for?

Nope, it's in the first fourth or so of the movie, between the beginning & Weathertop though.

Do you mean Frodo outside of Bree to Merry, Pippin, and Sam?

Gandalf to Bilbo in Bag End after the party.
"I think you should leave the Ring behind, Bilbo. Is that so hard?"

Pippin to Merry in the Mines of Moria, regarding his 'opinion' on there being lost at the three-way-place?
