Isengard. Saruman was way cooler.
Would you rather ride a great eagle or a hell-hawk (the fell beasts)?

Saruman na lang. Orthanc would be lovelier than Mordor, I guess
Visit at her respective home Morwen, Erendis, Ancalime, or Niniel?

I get the feeling Morwen would be more interesting than the others, so I choose her.
Would you rather go clubbing with hip young things from Rohan or Gondor?

Oh, good call.
On reflection...I'd rather eat out with Gondorians, but I think the Rohirrim would make better ravers... Would you rather align yourself with the North or South Kingdom?

An Orc. It might escape the trees and Ents, but the Hobbit has no chance. Plus I could curse and slaver and snarl to my heart's content.
Would you rather fight the Watcher in the Water or Treebeard?

Treebeard! First of all he isn't slimy and does not hide in weird places, but mostly I chose him because I know by which means he can be defeated. I will most likely loose any fight, but I have most information about treebeard.

Beat Denethor with a shovel. He deserves it for being so mean to Faramir and so rude to Gandalf. Plus, Legolas is still too young to die! lol
OK. Would you rather tickle Smaug or try to throw a lasso at a Nazgul?

Throw a lasso. There is a chance I might miss and not be noticed.
Would you rather become a shirriff and betray all your friends to the Big Men, or would you rather be loyal and be locked up in the lockholes?

inquiring minds....
Since it's unclear what I've done to anger Turin, I'll assume that I'm in the right and he's being unreasonable, so I'll go with that. I'd rather not be stealing anyone's jewels.
Would you rather be an Elf or a Hobbit? (I'm surprised this one hasn't been asked as it's a rather basic one. )

a hobbit. I don't care much for living for thousands of years; it gets boring after a couple of hundred...
Here's another simple one:would you rather be Merry or Pippin?

Since no one seems to want to answer this one, I'll do it myself. I'd rather be Merry - I would prefer Theoden's copany to Denethor's.
Here's a different question, and hopefully people will answer. Would you rather be Saruman or Grima Wortongue?

Saruman. Grima has no luck with the ladies.
Would you rather be eaten by Shelob, or die of starvation in Mordor?

die in Mordor. At least people will say that you died because of unfortunate circumstances, not your own lack of fighting skills or vigilance or whatever else I needed to pass Shelob. (it's not your fault that you died)
would you rather be Morgoth or Sauron?

I'd rather be Sauron. Morgoth must get so annoyed, walking around with a limp all the time.
Would you rather drink at the Prancing Pony or the Green Dragon?

Definitely Morgoth. Sauron got owned. (EDIT: Yes, I know Morgoth's doom is inevitable. But more powerful being = more epic destruction.)
Would you rather have Gandalf angry with you or do battle with Aragorn?

The Prancing Pony sounds more interesting, since you have hobbits, men, and sometimes dwarves to talk to.
I'd rather have Gandalf get angry at me, since it doesn't specify who I am and what I've done. I'll assume I'm not a Nazgul or Grima Wormtongue or any other evil character. Maybe I'm Pippin, and he yells "Fool of a Took!" at me. Even if I did do something wrong, Gandalf will get angry to make sure that I don't do it again, not for any other reason. If you were to visit one of the following Elven settlements, which one would it be? Rivendell, Lothlorien, Grey Havens, Mirkwood, or Hollin (Eregion) when it still existed?

Mirkwood, definitely. As long as the spiders mind their own business.
Would you rather live with Beorn or Quickbeam?

Beorn would be more lively.

Legolas, I feel that he'd make it quicker.
Would you rather have to fight a balrog or Saruman?

Balrog. Just throw him off a cliff. You never know what tricks Saruman is up to.
Would you rather visit Caras Galadhon or Cerin Amroth?

Water, because this includes the ability to walk on snow, which is just frozen water.
Would you rather ride an Eagle or a Fell Beast?

Fell beasts are explicitly said to stink, so Eagles.

Moria, because it wasn't always evit and it's more mysterious. And away from Sauron.
Would you rather be Sauron or Morgoth?

I'm not sure how that is related to ME...
That depends on which war it is. If it's one of those romanticised long-ago wars, then go to war. But if you're talking about relatively modern wars, then 9/11. I guess 9/11 for a final answer. Would you rather be captured in Dol Guldur or in Barad Dur?

Trolls. One could probably live out one's entire life before an Ent got around to stepping off of you . . .
Then again, if you're being stepped on by a troll, you probably won't have a life to live out much longer. Would you rather be in the army of Saruman or Sauron? |

Saruman. I think that Ugluk is cooler than Grishnakh.
Would you rather be a Ranger of the North or of Ithilien?

Ithilien. I really like that place. It's... I don't know, I think it's greener. Plus, you get Henneth Annun with the lovely waterfall. In the North, I'd only get "random ruins after being kicked out of Butterbur's Inn and walking three days in wet clothes, Part Two".
Would you rather be sent to negotiate with Smaug or the Mouth of Sauron?

Boromir. He seems to be a generally worse fighter than Aragorn, so as I am I'd be more likely to survive; and assuming the fight is on even terms, I'd fight Boromir because I don't like him as much.
Would you rather go with Frodo and Sam to Mount Doom or with Merry and Pippin to Isengard? |
