Telchar - who are the other two Firiel's??
Bragolheledion - the answer was that each of those names were borne by three persons in Middle earth. Anyway - try this one:- shouldn't be too hard: Aragorn Boromir Finrod Legolas

Hm... the Fellowship was attacked by wolves near Caradhras, and Finrod fought (and was killed by) wolves in Tol Sirion?

Close enough - Aragorn, Boromir and Legolas all killed a wolf near Caradhra; Finrod killed a werewolf in Sauron's dungeons.

They were all smiths? Or did they all make a jewel or ornament? (Though I can't think of what jewel Eöl made.)

Tlechar: true, but find one more thing in common. HINT: They all did something BEFORE the War of the Ring, which others did during the War.

bragolheledion -
No it was something they DID, not something they HAD. HINT: Although Galadriel did this (as reported in UT), Celeborn almost certainly did not, due to a personal prejudice he had throughout the Second Age and apparently most of the Third Age.

I’m going AWOL and I don’t want to kill this thread so I’ll give the answer. Galadriel, Aragorn and Gandalf all passed through Moria prior to the War of the Ring. Celeborn likely didn’t because he had a grudge against dwarfs as a result of the killing of his kinsman Thingol and the sacking of Menegroth

That was a good question - I had totally forgotten that Galadriel travelled through Moria.
Just to Add: Im pretty sure that Aragorn never went 'through' Moria - He stated himself that he had only passed through the Dimrill Gate, which doesn't mean that he came out of the West Gate, but more likely that he passed out through the Dimrill Gate again when he had finished his business. I think you should give us a new one Turambar

No one has posted here for a while, so I thought I'd try to revive the thread with my own offering:

Sauron
Frodo Maedhros (Beren too) Hmm...they all were in some way involved with evil. Or a Dark Lord. Beren got a Silmaril from a Dark Lord (Morgoth) Maedhros was trapped on the peak of Thangorodrim because of the Dark Lord (Morgoth, yet again) Sauron made an evil ring and was a Dark Lord, and Frodo got a ring from a Dark Lord (Sauron). So everyone was in some way connected to the "Dark side". Am I right???
