Maikafanawen and Rose Cotton- those were really funny. The Princess Bride meets LotR... maybe we should do more crosses with other books. *hides in corner to think of evil ideas*

Why? *Frodo shows Aragorn some more pictures in the photo book* http://www.dragonfare.com/AL/ch/aragorn.html NOOOOOOOO!!!! *Aragorn runs away* *Awen looks at Aragorn's pictures* I THOUGHT HE WAS HANDSOME!!!!! AHHHHHHHH! *she runs away too* HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA! Frodo: I love old photo albums, don't you Bilbo? Bilbo: I sure do Frodo.

*chokes and dies* Awww, Boromir, c'mon. We all know that's not REALLY you. *goes off to comfort Boromir*
Meanwhile, another scene for your entertainment: Heeeeere's Johnny! No, no, it's more like this: Heeeeere's JOHNny! Heere's Johnny. Ha ha ha! That really sucked, Elrond. Here's the best one right here: HEEEEEEEEEEERE'S JOHNNY! ... what in Middle-Earth have I walked in on?

Urgh! Those pictures truly were awful!
Give my compliments to the chef! That calamari was excellent! Calamari? You mean it isn't steak? No, little one. Calamari is squid, a creature of the sea. Sq-squ-sq-sq-sq... Squid. YEEAARRGGGGGHH!! I'VE BEEN POISONED! QUICK, ANTIDOTE, ANTIDOTE!!!! Can it be that the little ones do not like calamari? Its texture, its piquant flavor? How can this be? TBC....(<<I love that!)

You think that scene's sad? Well I made up a song about it...
"I am the Disco King," "I could eat anything!" "But I put my bid" "On a plate of squid!" "Mmm mmm mmm!"

I had to get off the computer yesterday, so I didn't get to finish the Lumberjack song.
LUMBERJACK SONG cont. (this is the last part) I cut down trees, I wear high heels, suspenders and a bra! I wish I'd been a girlie, just like my dear papa! Chorus: He cuts down trees, he wears... high...heels... *chours runs away* Figwit: Oh, Aragorn! And I thought you were so butch! *runs away crying* *looks confused* What? And now for something completely different. [ May 19, 2003: Message edited by: Nuinatariel ]

Eh, I've decided to try another song. This time it's 'It's my Life" by Bon Jovi.
This ain't a song for the broken-hearted- No silent prayer for the faith-departed, I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd, You're gonna hear my voice When I shout it out loud- Chorus:It's my life! It's now or never, I ain't gonna live forever, I just wanna live while I'm alive... To be continued. By the way, I love that song (insert imaginary smiley here) ~Menelien [ May 19, 2003: Message edited by: GaladrieloftheOlden ]

(It's my life) My heart is like an open highway, Like Frankie said I did it my way- I just wanna live while I'm alive- It's my life, This is for the ones who stood their ground; For Tommy and Gina who never backed down, Tomorrow's getting harder, make no mistake, Luck ain't even lucky, Got to make your own breaks. After that, there's only a little and most of it is repetition anyhow, so I'm done. (The rest is chorus, then Better stand tall when they're calling you out Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down , then Chorus X2) ~Menelien [ May 19, 2003: Message edited by: GaladrieloftheOlden ]

I vote for "Where is My Hairbrush" That is soooooo funny. It even got my mom to laugh, and that's not easy.
I also like Boromir's song "I'm the Disco King"

Cute, Elennar! You are "allowed" to do whatever you want.
Therefore, I shall now create a scene 8 posts long. Announcing the first Middle-earth talent contest! I Oddwen shall be your host and judge this evening. And the contestants are- Legolas: I enter my bow and pointy sticks! (It's called archery, Leggy.) What-EV-er. Elrond: I enter my fabulous flapping eyebrows. Aragorn: I offer my Houdini-like escapes. Boromir: I enter my ability to eat live squid! (Eew, are you sure?) Ohhh yeah.... Sam: I enter my ability to never smile. Merry: M: I enter my magic apple conjuring abilities! See? P: Wow! Arighy then!

S: And now I shall not smile. F: ...So an elf, a dwarf, a hobbit all walk into a bar, and the bartender says "What is this? A joke?" S: .... M: A piece of rope walks into a bar, see, and the bartender says "Hey! We don't serve your kind here!" So the rope goes out, ties itself and rolls around in the dirt, and goes back in. So the barkeep says "Hey, aren't you the rope I just turned out?" And the rope says "Nope, I'm a frayed knot." S: Hmm. Lurtz: Ok guys, we're going to have to get a crowbar. A: Watch the neck! S: *cough* Relax guys, only one post to go!

Well well, you're still here! So, here are the standings.
Legolas: Disqualified for probable murder. L: I was framed!! Boromir: MIA Aragorn: Failure to demonstrate the talent in being pinned to a tree. A: I'M TELLING YOU JUST THREE MORE SECONDS! Elrond: Voted off. E: Hmph. Merry: Failure to perform specified talent. M: Stupid Pippin... Thus, therefore, and ergo, our winner today is Samwise Gamgee for his amazing talent - "Not Smiling." S: I won??!?? *big grin* AAAARGHHH!! Sorry! I guess no one won! Thank you to my brother Tweak (Sam!) for the idea, co-Authorance and much assistance. And I apologize for the overuse of the Aragorn pic.

Beauty. Nice job Oddwen. And actually, the over-use of the Aragorn pic reminds me of that part in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when Lancelot is running up a hill to dramatic, suspenseful music, and they keep just showing the same clip over and over again. It's an artistic statement.

[The camera pans over the majestic snow-laden crags of Caradhras. The voice of Gandalf can be heard, but muffled, as though through a thick wall ...]
Gandalf: You cannot pass! Gandalf: I am the servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the Flame of Anor... [The camera dives into the mountain, straight through the rock and into the chamber where Gandalf stands confronting the Balrog.] Gandalf: Go back in to the shadow. The dark fire will not avail you! Flame of Udûn! Balrog: Roooaaaarr!! Gandalf: "YOU... SHALL... NOT... PASS!!!" [Gandalf strikes the bridge with his staff. The bridge breaks, causing the Balrog to fall. Gandalf sighs, and turns around, but the Balrog’s whip catches his ankle, and he is pulled down. He grabs onto the edge of the bridge, but cannot keep his grip.] Frodo: Gaandaaalf! Gandalf: Fly you fools! [Gandalf loses his grip and falls] Frodo: Noooooooooooo!! TBC ... [ May 21, 2003: Message edited by: The Saucepan Man ]

Here's an *ahem* strange one from me... Alas! My haircomb is broken! My hair is too long for it to comb through! *sentimental sniffling* Control yourself... control yourself... alright, I am ready. Aragorn… it pains me to ask you this… but could you help me shave my head? It is a sign of mourning for my deceased hairbrush... I think you are in an abnormal state of mental hea- *roar* I mean, if by my life or death I can shave you, I will! By the way, I took the last picture from somebody’s old avatar...
