Hama is great and should advance. He's a definite underdog and you want to cut him down. He's that little kid that should have won but went against the odds and overcame them. He should be allowed to win. Thorondor on the other hand is a Lord and King, or so I am told, and he did nothing to earn it and did little with it. Give Hama a break.

Day 23 is now over!
Thorondor - 7 Hama - 8 Smaug - 1 Chrysophylax Dives - 4 Gloin - 1 Hama will be the one to leave the island today! Hama left the tribal council very nervously today, when suddenly a giant hand picked him up, and slapped him on a large slice of bread, after adding some mayonaise and cheese, the giant hand had created a Hama Sandwich, which he fed to his pet Hyena-Lemming-I'm-supposed-to-be-a-Warg-thingy. Thus ends Day 23! Remaining contestants: From the Lord of the Rings Survivor Gimli From the Silmarillion Survivor Elbereth From the Hobbit Survivor Smaug Gloin From the Second Age Survivor Thorondor From the Minor Works Survivor Chrysophylax Dives *************************************** You may now start voting!

You monsters!!!
How could you evict Hama? He's the greatest thing that was left on this pitiful island. You just can't see the joy in voting for an underdog can you? Hama was wronged in the first survivor and that injustice should have been rectified during 'All Star' instead the injustice was only furtherd...for shame!

Poor Hama.
Oh well, I don't care that much - certainly not as much as morm did. I suppose I should probably honor my commitments. ++ Gloin I refuse to echo all the reasons that have been given for him over the course of this Survivor...but most all of them are true & valid. Not to mention somehow we're still stuck with two dwarves... |

I enjoy supporting an underdog, but not as a rule. . . If we did so they wouldn't be underdogs now would they.

Either Bethberry made an innocent slip (& couldn't correct it...?), or she's chuckling evily at morm right about now.

I'm inclined to stick with my vote of yesterday. Thorondor is really the least compelling character remaining in terms of fan interest. If he gets into the final he'll make it a two horse race by default, which would make it less interesting.

Well, there's two left from the Hobbit, two left of the Dwarves (and two dragons, actually - that ought to be rectified as well). I'd probably prefer Gimli being voted out, but if Gloin's the way the cookie crumbles, I shan't protest. And the Eagles are cool. Thorondor provides some contrast to our other winged contestants... |

Agreeing with Morm about the shame of yesterday and Firefoot with Gimli being the one I would like to vote out... Against the tide, anyway.

If Thorondor's not gone by today, I will lose my motivation and my reason for participating in All-stars
(no knock to Wilwarin who's done a fine job, just the lack of juicy characters is a reason for no more further motivation...unless someone is able to do a convincing job that explains why I should be excited about the remaining contestants). ++Thorondor

Boromir, I'd say Smaug is a character worth getting excited about. He's not only big, dangerous, fiery, and powerful but also quite cunning and manipulative. One of the best of Tolkien's villains, if I do say so myself. Personally, I hope he wins.

Nothing against Eagles per se. Gwaihir's one cool bird with a groovy name and a funky title. But Thorondor is just plain dull.
We got rid of Manwe yonks ago. I see no good reason to allow his flunky to stay. + + THORONDOR

Most. Boring. Contestant. Ever. The only cool thing about him is that he can fly, and the dragons do that in much cooler fashion, so he's unnecessary.

He's a bird. Birds crap on homes and public buildings. Dwarves are far more polite.

I would freely admit that Gloin would not be a worthy winner of this competition.
But his continuous presence does have wonderful "irritation value" in some quarters. Reason enough, surely, to keep him for now ...
