I need to know from the wolves, did you ever think I was gifted?

White-Hand I know it's against the rules, but given the situation ...

Make sure that confounded gravedigger gets the chop along with those Wolves ...

Kudos to you villagers! Lommy saved you. We just might have made it - tgwbs was a thorn, I admit and special notification for his hunch here!

But surely the opening situation was terrible: 19 villagers and only 3 wolves with the new role of Changeling helping the villagers (she would have been helpful to the wolves only very late in the game). So we would have to had being able stay nicely covered and succeed in our kills for quite a many Days comparing to any normal ww-game (I quess the norm is 15 villagers and 3 werewolves - so at least two more Days for us to make through).

The timing of the game was really bad for me too. I could have easily played as an ordo, but wolfing was just beoynd my boundaries this time. The first two days I really had to work from the early morning to the late evening and then Lommy & her little sister came here. I had to bribe Lommy & sis to go buying ice cream to make a Night post to my fellow wolves! So no hope of actually looking and analyzing the thread during the Nights and making well thought of decisions. And really: never play ww-game with someone who lives under the same roof! It's nerve-wrecking as well as action limiting.

Whine-whine... But really: it didn't help our position at all that Lhuna was able to be online just a few hours a day - around midday my time (when I normally had no reach of the computer). So many of the kills were kind of compromises and as such, not the best ones. Tom was amazing (well he seemed to have had time on those couple of crucial days to analyze the thread). I really bow to him: greatest newbie I have seen here!

I have our PM's on my PC, so if you are interested, I could send them here. But really - as I described above - they are not any masterpieces of wolvish planning. Surely they reveal you the nasty timing we had - and my non-commitment (not something I wanted, but depending on RL).

Actually thought I was completely useless ... other than holding to my nagging suspicion of Tom - who reminded me a bit of myself in my successful wolf outing.

Still think LMP was pllaying with fire and that it is wrong for players to use the games to settle personal scores. Especially when it results in "friendly fire" deaths. Only redeeming point was it saved Caran. Engineering the deaths of innocents without genuine suspicion is wolvish *scowls*.

Anyway..what a bizarre game. And an unexpected end. Need to read through and find out what happened... was busy at lunch!.

He played totally weirdly. Had I not known him to be innocent, I would have been lynching him yesterDay or earlier.

If hilarious stands here for amusing, I heartily agree. I'm still mystified how could Cailín believe him after the stupid "happily I'm not a gifted"-thing and the poor explanations about getting mixed up with his own role...

And I'm rather interested: did anyone ever think I might be the seer?

The thing about WW is that people think up elaborate plots that they think others could be trying to pull off - rarely does that seem to be the case, though.

Personally, I'm not at all surprised that a few people were suspicious of you for a bit...

i don't say I was convincing - I maybe wasn't really - but Nogrod... he was ridicuolus (sorry )... Or maybe I'm simplifying things 'cos I myself knew I was the seer and that he was a wolf...

What you forget, Lommy, is that I did not need convincing anymore. For days I have been convinced Nogrod was the Seer. What he said fit right in what I had already figured out for myself. The first dream of Saucy, next of me (I was the only one he listed as convinced of innocence after Saucy's death)... So the manner of his revelation was really quite trivial in my eyes: I was just so ready to believe him.

You can ask Kath, whom I rather smugly told I had spotted the Seer after merely two days.

Well, it wasn't that serious any more.. By the time we both (Lommy and me) knew about each other and yes, Lommy was watching over my shoulder as I wrote those last posts... That was fun too!

And sincerely Fea: I was not trying to save myself (that would have been a fool's hope), but wishing to see, whether anyone would buy my story and to give Lhuna one more Night.

Yes we lost at the moment Lommy came forwards.

Well I certainly went out faster than I expected. And honestly I'm glad I did because while skimming through the game I thought Lommy and tgwbs were at least two wolves. Since I was already suspicious of Lommy and I saw tgwbs kind of trying to nudge everybody away from that suspicion, I definitely thought those two were wolves...boy was I ever wrong.

A big congradulations to Lommy and tgwbs who played a superb game. Wow it really seemed like the village was lost there. But our Seer was able to stay alive and away from the wolves long enough to gather the information needed to win. Well done.

Also, for the record, yes my favorite animal is a coyote (avatar), and Form's is a lion. But, I don't mind the switch it works better considering I was a village victim. And Form was a wolf attack.

Fin and Tom it was great getting to see you play for the first time. If you are innocent you can be great assets to the village.

And one little thing that I found rather funny...

I just found this funny because my last post I was rather calm. Because I really had no expectation of being lynched. I got hte impression some people suspected me, but in the midst of the cross-posting at the end I really had no idea that I was going to be lynched. And it did completely catch me off guard.

The Saucepan Man has been trapped in the Barrow!
White-Hand I guess it's OK to start the post mortem then ...

Grrrr! I hate being lynched.

An unfortunate combination of SpM (deliberately) acting suspiciously, Caran (deliberately) acting suspiciously, Caran turning out to be the Hunter, retractable votes and me not being here at the crucial stage.

Oh, and Elempi's misguided desire for vengeance ...

Note to self 1: Never suspect Caran again solely for flip-floppiness.

Still, if it had not been me, following Caran's declaration, it would probably have been morm. And, since he and I were both non-Gifted innocents, it would have made little difference to the village.

And you were probably better off without me. Had Noggins not informed me of his Wolfishness following his departure, I would never have guessed. And, even as a silent observer, there were others that I suspected far more than the true Wolves going into the last day. I should have known something was up when Lhuna was being so sane. And a very impressive debut there, Tom.

Note to self 2: It's always the ones as feel most fair as is most foul. I should know this by now.

Well done villagers, though. I was tempted to root for the Wolves, being as how you so swiftly turned on a poor innocent such as I. But then I remembered the need to bolster my win to loss ratio following Elempi's game. It was really Lommy wot one it, so particular congratulations to you, m'dear.

Note to self 3: Try never to accuse someone of not contributing, when they are actually quietly achieving the most.

Sorry, Lommy.

Kudos also to the Wolves, who might well have got away with it had Lommy not made such great dream choices. I was surprised that you were able to pull off the innocent act so well, Noggins. I had somehow got it into my head that, because you come across as so genuine when you are innocent, you would come across less so when guilty. I was wrong. I liked the way that you avoided getting caught in my lynching, while deftly avoiding suspicion for doing so at the same time.

It's a shame I couldn't have been involved for longer, but that unfortunate combination of circumstances done for me. It was good while it lasted, though. I rather enjoyed taking a more aggressive tack, despite being wholly misguided throughout ...

And, of course, a big well done for Kath for such great modding. I was genuinely contrite when you told me off for my anagram shenanigans. Wonderful death scenes, though (although I was rather annoyed that Nilp crashed my death scene ).

Oh, and my favourite animal is not a Duck-Billed Platypus. I gave Kath a serious option and two silly ones. She went for one of the silly ones ...

What was the surpise for tgwbs, by the way?

As long as we are doing notes to self

Note to self: Never be quiet because you will instantly be suspected no matter what!

How is it that there are many that can pull this off yet I cannot?

It was true WW weariness by the way, and I sympahtized with LMP too because of it.

Lommy, the only reason we would have killed you is that Nogrod's having quite a hard time being a wolf with you around. Apart from that, we had no idea. Honestly, I had no clues until the end who the Seer could be.

And I know how it feels to play with someone you live with. Thank goodness Nilp decided to commit suicide or I'm sure he would have outed me.

Kath, you are evil. I wanted to die in Caran's hands. You know, some Werewolf VI frustration... *winks at Fea and Holby*

As for morm's query: I thought you and Mith were the Seer and the Changeling - which is which I had no idea. Really, you are all confusing.

Oh yes! We feared tgwbs might be the Seer because he managed to mention all three of us furry fluffy wolves in one breath.

So who are the gifteds, aside from Caran and Nog - I mean Lommy, really?

Exactly, useless.

And I don't regard pursuing personal vendettas which may well be counterproductive to the village's survival as part of the game. In fact I was so annoyed that with the village in a more secure position following Tom's lynching I was considering pulling out. Lommy's skill rendered that decision irrelevant in the event. Memorable and acceptable are not the same....

I don't know why I didn't go after Nogrod after Saucy's lynching. I thought he'd just muddled up his numbers and didn't realise his vote was needed.

I too would like to know what my surprise was. Though I presume it involved Pokémon?

Speaking of Pokémon, I believe our victory demands a song and dance. Here you go! Celebrate ŕ la fęte de Miaouss!

Anguirel is a guest of Tom Bombadil.
Nah, it's Where Monsters Slaughter. Or Butcher. Or some similar verb. Apparently on this occasion they didn't...

Now...back to Latin revision...

My mistake. Trucidare is "to slaughter" or "to massacre." So it would be equally apt for morm's butcher.

You can ask Kath, whom I rather smugly told I had spotted the Seer after merely two days.
It's true, she did!

Thank you for the chat skwerlz, Kath m'love. I loved my death!
You're most welcome, it was a fun one to write!

Quote:
And, of course, a big well done for Kath for such great modding. I was genuinely contrite when you told me off for my anagram shenanigans. Wonderful death scenes, though (although I was rather annoyed that Nilp crashed my death scene ).

Oh, and my favourite animal is not a Duck-Billed Platypus. I gave Kath a serious option and two silly ones. She went for one of the silly ones ...

What was the surpise for tgwbs, by the way?
Glad to see I got through! Yes I'm sorry about Nilp crashing it but I had to kill him off sometime or he'd have yelled at me more. The silly one was more fun, and it meant I could curb your verbosity! The surprise for tgwbs was simply that his killers would be Pokemon. I was going to have a battle between Ash and Team Rocket going on in front of him

Quote:
May I ask what the intended translation behind the title was?
Ang is right on that (he should be since he came up with it for me), it means "Where Monsters Slaughter".

Quote:
Kath, you are evil. I wanted to die in Caran's hands. You know, some Werewolf VI frustration...
Sorry Lhuna my love! But she was never after you anyway.

Quote:
So who are the gifteds, aside from Caran and Nog - I mean Lommy, really?
Lommy was the Seer.
Caran the Hunter.
Durelin was the Ranger.
Cailin the Changeling.
Lhuna, Nogrod and tom the wolves.

Oh and I will be getting Fin's death and the final narration up sometime today. I just had a clash with an RL RS exam that I suddenly realised I really should revise for, and then you guys had to go and finish the game!

Reps are also coming out soon, I just got repped out yesterday.

You righteous indignation is noted. I'm sorry to have offended you. Seems I'm getting pretty good at that lately.

Well I have got over it now..but I wouldn't have if we had lost I have enough trouble with this game already without hidden agendas.... and I am certainly not offended at a personal level - well I guess my amour propre was hurt by being so easily fooled and I really thought it would get me lynched - I just assumed all innocents were singing from the same hymn sheet... Silly me

Actually, if I'm understanding correctly, shouldn't it be 'Monsters Slaughter Here'? If you wanted 'Where', 'ubi' might have been more appropriate.

And if you really want to be technical, 'monstrae' is used more in the sense of omens and portents; 'belluae' would indicate a beast or wild animal.

Yep... it's official. I'm a nerd.

A compromise everyone agreed. A player with perspective and being possibly dangerous. That Night we hadn't the possibility of safely killing anyone we actually believed / knew to be gifted.

That's the same way I played when I was the seer and it got me killed by the hunter but not the wolves.

Beware of following suspicions too strongly for too long. Durelin.
You looked much more wolfish than I ever did...especially since you and Tom made such a pair.

I called Tom earlier than you, though...

Out of curiosity: Kath, what was everyone else's animal choices, and perhaps you could share any brilliant death ideas that you had and didn't get to use? They should get some publicity if you have some still sitting around.

Returns to find everything upside down...

First things first: I fully appreciate SPM's normal difficulty- that of being killed on Night 2. I may have replace my anti-Day 1 tirade with an anti-Night 2 tirade...

Although I should thank the wolves for killing me, since I would have been gone for Day 3 and most of the game onward... Still, I've never been thought a crazy, ignorant fool before, and I don't like it. And I maintain that Day 1s are dangerous and little more. I begin to feel very sympathetic to Nilp and the flak he takes for his traditional Day 1 stance.

So, in general, I'm feeling sympathetic right now- and no more than to the wolves. You guys really should have had the game in the bag, you played so well. Darn seers... (Yes, LMP, I'm looking at you).
