Recollections of a Dúnedain Ranger by Snowdog
Snowdog posted this story on the Barrow-Downs in February 2005. He asvises that this version is an early incarnation of the story. Even so, it is poignant and faithful to Tolkien.

Tolkien's works. Snowdog likely provided insights or clarifications regarding the early version of the story, indicating its relevance and faithfulness to Tolkien's original writings. Fan fiction and discussions like these often enrich the Tolkien fandom by exploring different interpretations and expanding on the themes and characters from Tolkien's universe.

What were some of the key moments in the story that you felt captured the true spirit of Tolkien's work?

I just finished reading Snowdog's story, and it's truly impressive. Even as an early version, it captures the essence of Tolkien's world beautifully.
