All that Paraphrenalia

Today's news of a GORGEOUS LEGO set on the horizon has given me cause to meld my two favourite fan topics: Tolkien and LEGO... into a question.

How much Middle-earth STUFF do you have? And how do you feel about having it?

Notwithstanding the "cash or kudos" line in The Letters, I think it's fair to say that Tolkien himself would generally be seen as a figure not really on the side of commercialisation--but, despite that, there's been a lot of cash, even a bit of kudos, in making things based on Middle-earth.

So do you have any? Much? What sorts of things?

For myself--other than definitely eyeing that LEGO set--I really don't have that much Middle-earth stuff. Part of that is an adolescent allergic reaction to the movies, no doubt, but it's also that I've just never really something been into acquiring things licensed from my fannish interests. So there are a lot of books, obviously, and I have a scarf my sister knit that has the text of the One Ring's inscription... and I think that's about it.

Oh, and a "One Ring" and a "Pervy Hobbit Fancier" button (the latter a gift).

I have had this little LotR Lego man lying on my desk since Christmas. I intended to unpack him at Christmas, as a sort of homage to certain Lego enthusiasts I know.

Question

Aside from books and maps…
…well, it’s an odd answer I suppose and it’s based in my loose interpretation of your question—but—
Most of my clothes (dresses, tunics, boots) remind me of Middle-earth (most days I go to work dressed suspiciously like an elf or like a ranger)
Five warm cloaks. Hey, I walk my dogs in the dark. Who’s gonna know?
Five modest harps. (Folk harps, not the big ones.) Small to medium sizes. Harps you might see in Rivendell or maybe Lothlorien.
I try, fairly often, to play music you might hear in Lothlorien or Rivendell.
One of my goals is to sing The Our Father in Sindarin, as Tolkien wrote it: Ae Adar nîn I vi Menel…
A steady Longing for light, and truth, and valour, and hope, and trust— all of which I find in the gospel of Christ; — Tolkien is right; eucatastrophe is evangelium.
