Handy hints for Bard, Farmer Giles et al

Forgive me this but I was sent this in honour of St Georges Day and since dragons feature in Tolkien's works I thought it might amuse some of you.

If only Turin read this guide before going off to kill Glaurung! He missed part of the first step, namely that dragons are deeply fictional! Also, he forgot to cover Glaurung in bags.

I don't know if Turin, being fictional himself, would be at an advantage or disadvantage. I thing forgetting the Brazil nuts was really the crucial error...

Alfirin has been trapped in the Barrow!
They left part of step 4 out (the hard, dangerous part) "flip some of the tail scales up or (if you are really suicidal) pull them out, so the nut will be touching naked, absorbing skin".

Oh and not much help for Giles (and probably Turin), as Brazil nuts would not be discovered for about another 500 years. Then again, most people with tree nut allergies are allergic to ALL tree nuts, so maybe walnuts and hazels work just as well (if a little slower).

But if you have bagged the dragon scales may be a doddle.... and brazil nuts may be able ot kill fictional dragons anachronistically
