About eight or nine... I haven't been counting, but it's been a lot. It's a bonus of being ill. I have a lot of free time and the tv all to myself.

I've watched it three times the whole way through on DVD, which makes it a lowly total of 6 times. But I'd have to confess that I've seen FOTR about 18 times that number...

Four times since I got it, only once in the theater. I'm quite tempted to watch it over and over, but I don't wanna wear myself out on it like I've done with FotR which I lost count of viewings after 24

Twice.
That is only because I am not the only person in the house and we only have one TV and one video player, otherwise I would have watched more than twice.

Once. Sniff. I've seen other pieces of it at friends houses, in addition to the *once*, but have yet to get through it again, in its entirety. I wish I could say I'd lost count...

quote:
Around 15, the great upside of being homeschooled.

I am homeschooled too, but I still can't bring myself to watch TTT (or even FotR) 15 times in two weeks (unless you're counting your theater viewings, which is hardly playing by the rules )!

Hear hear, Only Real Estel!
I'm homeschooled as well, but I still don't have enough time to do that. That isn't to say I wouldn't if I could, but I believe I've made my point.

[peeking petulantly around corner from Lush's pile]
0
But that's because I don't want to. Am waiting for extended version and can only take so much Legolas hanging ten in Helm's Deep and cartoonish slugfest as Gandalf and entourage approach a possessed Theoden. Saw it 4 times in theatre--the last 3 just to see if I could get past the parts that made me wince. I couldn't--so, call me sensitive.
To echo earlier post, I have seen extended FotR more times than I can count--maybe about 60-70 times. Even bought multi-disk DVD player for it. Am hoping RotK will give me new cause to grow more lumps from seat time.

I have watched it one and a half times so far on the DVD I bought the day it came out here in the UK.
It would be much more but for the fact that my two children aged 4 and 2 are petrified by the appearance of Gollum and force me to turn it off or jump the scenes.
I also just watched the scene where PJ makes a marvellous and brave appearance in Helm's Deep. Fancy that, braving receiving an orc arrow to score a cameo appearance in the TT. Good man!!!!

I have tried to watch it several times, but I keep falling asleep after one hour (not due to the film, but due to the late hour on which I watch it, because otherwise I don't have the time for it).
So, as it turns out, I have seen the first hour about three times!

I rented the DVD because I was waiting to buy the extended version. Watched it once and then decided I needed to see it many more times so I went out and bought it.
I've watched it 3 times all the way through and have watched bits and pieces many more times. I especially like the preview on RotK!

2 and a half... two times all the way through, half if you count skipping to favorite parts and such. As for FotR, I'd say I'm up there in the thirties and forties (bit of subject but what the hey!)

Twice. I don't watch it a lot for fear of losing some of the wonder and marvel I feel while I'm watching it.

Thrice, at home. Can't remember how many times I watched it in the theatre. Am anxiously waiting for the release of the extended version.
