Amarantha_Daisy, I'm actually quite worried now. I watched THE tape two days ago, and today, I went to the stables and first a girl got bucked off by the slow ploddy horse...which I then tried to ride, and it screamed and threw me...then all the other horses in the school acted weird...then the horses started kicking the doors when I tried to go put one in the field...whoops...

Anything but Arwen, you should probley make a copy of the tape, just to make sure.
I've always wanted to make a Nazgul costume. That would be cool... And I could run around downtown in it, shrieking and calling random people "she-elf"... Mua ha ha ha! ...Yes. I think I'll make one after I finish my dress...

My little brother has requested that I ask you guys for suggestions on what he should be for Halloween this year. I think he's open to anything but Frodo (he was that last year) and any female characters. Ideas, anyone?

Hmmm... Well, Orominuialwen, as I was saying before, a Nazgul costume would be pretty cool... Or he could be Gollum That would be cool... Acting like Gollum is fun
There are plenty of great male characters to be. It's the female characters that's a rarity. We girls have to settle with Arwen, Eowyn, or a random elf... [ October 05, 2003: Message edited by: Amarantha_Daisy ]

Orominuialwen how old is your brother? Is he really little or kind of old?
He could be either Aragorn in the ranger outfit or the Gondorian outfit. Or he could be Faramir. Those would be really fun costumes.

Hmmm.... I have yet to figure out what I am going to be. I want to dress up as Eowyn, esp in that White dress she wears in TT, one problem... there's no pattern for it anywhere that I've seen and I'm having my aunt make my costume (seeing as how many of the store costumes look really fake and my mother and me have no talent for sewing)... It's depressing really... I would love to be Eowyn but like I said... no patterns (at least that I've seen) anywhere. It'd be fun to dress up as a hobbit but I think I'll have to settle on an elf seeing as how that's probably the easiest costume there would be to make...unless any of you have a good pattern for an Eowyn dress or ideas and would care to share....

I need a nazgul costume for my thing. I plan on taking the string off of my dad's weedeater and going around with it. I'm puttitng gas in it so can turn it on. If people don't have candy then I'm going to act like I'm using it on their Lawn. A ringwraith with a weedeater, So unique.

I've got a Halloween dance coming up, and I really want to dress up as something elf-like. Does anyone know of any British shops that sell elf-like dresses at a reasonable price? Because I am absolutley lousy at sewing and I don't know anyone else who could help me make a dress.
Any ideas??

Thanks for the ideas everyone! Gorwingel, my brother is kind of little. Hmm, he might make a pretty good Faramir- I'll have to ask him; or maybe one of the Nazgul...
Naz, that costum was SO cool! Enorëiel, they have lots of patterns here. It's a great site for LotR costumes.

I'm going as an Elf. I got my aunt to make the dress, so I still have to buy the necklace, circlet, and make the belt. Ugh, I hope I get paid soon.

I bet no one's gonna be who I am!
FARMER MAGGOT! I already have a cool farmer hat and trousers and a shirt. My dog is gonna be Grip, and I'm gonna have a hoe and make a basket of overgrown veggies to make me look smaller. Hopefully people won't think I'm a normal farmer...

My costume is going to be similiar to my icon. I also have a cloak and there will be a few other differences. I need to find a fake bow and arrow though.

I am...presently debating. I am also an abysmal..sewer? seamstress?, and that's an understatement. I have a large black hooded cloak, which just about fit me when I was 4'8ft. I am now 5'7.
I have a sort of farmer outfit, but I don't think many of the people where I live would get it. Trick or treating is very much frowned upon round here...not that that dissuades me Aragorst, that's so cool! I'll probably be Gandalf - borrow my Dad's grey jacket; I have a staff at least, and a hat

Hey don't feel to bad Everdawn I live in
Australia too and like you we don't celebrate halloween some kids still go trickle treating in my area though( but to be honest my father doesn't even believe in halloween so no candy no costumes no nothing for my sisters and I oh well). Maybe you could dress up anyway and just freak your family members out (Hey why don't you ask your parents to invite your cousins over then dress like a ring wraith and scare them all night) it'd be fun he....he lothlorien |
