I need help with something.
For a book report in school I am doing The Hobbit. I need to know the year it was originally published in. My dad and I were looking in the front of the book but we couldn't really find the year. Could someone please be so kind to tell me the original date in which it was published?

It was first published in the UK on September 21, 1937. It was first published in the U.S. the following year.

Turamber posted this yesterday in another thread, it has the original book review from 1937 (Hobbit) as well as the other books. http://www.nytimes.com/specials/adve...ien/index.html
Good luck on the book report
