The other side of the story....
I looked everywhere in the search function for this topic, but I never found it, so here is my thing.
Aragorn and Arwen are probably going to have their wedding in the movie. And I'm sure they won't leave out the whole ordeal with Eowyn and Faramir. But what about Sam and Rosie? I know that they will show scenes with their children, for I have already seen pictures of it. But do you think they will have the Hobbit wedding in the movie or just tell that they got married?
I thought about this today, and I was wondering if anyone would have clues on whethere it would be in the movie or not. I wouldn't mind it being in there, because Sam is just so cool and they need more emphasis on his life, but who knows? Anyone?

I feel pretty confident that they will establish that Sam and Rosie are married and I believe there is a shot of Sam hugging a little blond hobbit whom we can only assume is Elenor (apparently played by none other than Austin's own daughter). Rosie also made the cut in the first film and made it into another scene in the extended edition (both time mentioned by name), so I can only assume she was introduced for a reason.
Whether we'll get a shot of their wedding or not I have no idea, but I would personally guess not. It's certainly a possibility though.
H.C.

Somewhere on the cutting room floor there is a scene where a wounded and unconscious Sam dreams of Rosie, only to be rudely awoken by Bill the Pony nuzzling him.

I hope that they will show the marriage of Sam and Rosie. I would be very disappointed if they didn't...

But if they show the wedding of the hobbits they have in the final film two weddings and one engagement(if I can count). And that
1) takes lots of time
2) may change the atmosphere of the film too much
Tolkien didn't spend many sentences in RotK to say that Sam and Rosie got married, so why should PJ? Okey, he have done many major changes to his films when comparing them to the books but personally I think that the hobbit-wedding shouldn't be included to the film.On screen they can show their(Sam and Rosie) relationship in many other ways, for excemple using little Elanor.
[ August 03, 2003: Message edited by: dancing spawn of ungoliant ]
