Eowyn and the Witch king
I dont know about any of you, but I think they are going to make a HUGE deal with Eowyn getting hurt and Aragorn having to heal her. Does anyone else think this or am I just being silly?

You may be right, but I sure hope you aren't! Although, considering how much the second movie differed from the book, there is a possibility that PJ will go out on a limb with a wierd twist like that.
Have fun being dead

I hope they do- it'll make her love for him more real. But I also hope that they have some good character-developping scenes between her and Faramir in the House of Healing so that it doesn't look like he's just her rebound man.

I hope they don't, but at the same time, considering the way they portrayed Faramir, I guess I'd be glad if Eowyn and Aragorn ended up together.

While we're on the healing subject, I'd have to say I didn't really like Aragorn's use of Athelas in FOTR. Instead of boiling it and producing a fragrance that was as beneficial as the actual application of the plant, he chews it and just slaps it on Frodo's shoulder. And on top of that he waits for what, a week or something to do it?!?!
The scene in the Houses of Healing where the different scents are described is really nice. I don't think the filmmakers should have tampered with the use of Athelas.

I think they will to hype out the "competition" between Eowyn adn Arwen for Aragorn's love. Bleh. I wonder how they bring Arwen back after they made it seem like she went to the Grey Havens with the rest of her people?

I've heard Arwen travels to Lothlorien, looks into the Mirror and sees Aragorn killed by a bunch of Uruks,
and then takes the Shards of Narsil to him (wherever he may be). I wonder if Arwen and Eowyn will have a
battle to the death over Aragorn or something

My wife and I were talking about potential roles for Arwen in the next film. PJ really can't have her just show up at the end like the book.
It's been discussed in other threads that she is the one to bring the banner (and likely Anduril-aka reforged Narsil) to Aragorn, but she likely needs a bigger role. I think PJ will keep them seperated though to keep the tension up, but he's got to come up with something else.
I know many folks will hate this, but my wife came up with the idea of having her heal Eowyn, Faramir and Merry. I think it'll work and it's a hell of a lot better then her swinging a sword at Aragorn's side.
H.C.
