Eowyn essays
Hullo all.
So, I am building a fan site dedicated to Eowyn, and I want it to include more than just things relating to the movie. I want there to be intellectual content as well. I was wondering if anyone knows any good links to articles and essays that go into discussion about the character of Eowyn in the books (more so) and the movie. Thanks |

http://www.lord-of-the-rings.org/books/eowyn.html These are two of the ±37,500 results I got when I tried 'tolkien: eowyn' at google.com. I think that if you try it yourself, you'll have about a lifetime of info-reading about Eowyn (movie and books). I hope that this will be sufficient for your website and please let us know when it is ready. greetings, lathspell

It's not essays, but the Henneth Annun site had a fanfiction challenge where the authors were to address the question:"Was Eowyn a heroine or a deserter?" You might find it interesting.

And of course you can search the books-forum. I love to do that to, you can find a lot of info about Eowyn. But ofcourse, you already knew that... ~_^
Love, Aethelwine.

Yes, well what I am looking for are essays written and published in books if at all possible. I'm gathering non-fan based analysis's for my website. Most of the stuff I'll find on the boards are fan analysis's and opinions.
I'll check all of this out. Thanks. |
