Many thanks everyone. I finally filled in my save and Andtuariel is clinging to the end of the plank. Child - could you go ahead and do a post where Luindal "considers" Marreth's offer?

I'll put up a save, but I'm going to do it in your post box--right before Rog's save.

Can you edit Luindal talking to Rōg? I posted just after you - he's hopped over the side and gone off the see about saving Andtuariel. Thanks!

The fighting has begun.
14 Elves have boarded the ship from the side opposite the plank and are raising a ruckus. 3 of them are making their way toward the threatened Elf on the plank.

I've put up a save right after Regin's with a detailed description of what my post will be. The Elf has just lost her balance on the plank....

I've just filled in a save in record time. If anyone decides to take on Tarn, beware, he's in pain, and planning to keep to the shadows and be a little sneaky this time.

Thanks Lalwende! You sure beat me as far as getting things done fast. I did fill in my save, but this week is tough. Our play Mame, that's been in rehearsal for weeks, is finally being performed. It's showing tonight, tomorrow, and this weekend, plus I still have to get through regular school and homework.
I've put up another save and will try to do at least a short post late tomorrow night after I get home from the play. Thanks everyone for keeping the story going so nicely. Hey, Child, why'd you "wreck" my precious ship with that lousy mast falling? ~Regin

Andtuariel did not survive her fall into the water . . .
Rōg is now on the Corsair vessel, harrassing the blighters with beak and talon. Oro - I have your 2 characters aboard the Elven ship. And had Galhardir help bring up the Elf maid's body. ~*~ Pio |

Arry, I've filled in my save. I think Elwe may die after the trick Tarn has played on him. I should think this will make Annu quite angry? Annu has just appeared, and caught Tarn unawares...

Thanks everyone for the great fighting scenes! I've deleted my save in order to "catch up" with the action.
I am working on a post where Marreth hides the smaller Stone. Pio, could you delete your present save and put yours after my post? Many thanks. - Regin

I have posted a 'save' as it's the right point to add one - but I shall wait to see what kind of damage Orofaniel posts for Galhardir to inflict upon Tarn before I fill it in! I hope this is OK? I don't like the sound of those oars that are going to be brandished, ouch...

Marreth (and Regin) are having "Palantari Withdrawal Syndrome" . I wrote the proposal but I don't like giving up that Stone.
Couldn't we change the ending just a teeny bit? OK, OK. I promise to be good and follow our outline, but I sure am going to try and get that thing back. - Regin.....ensorcelled by that Stone

Heh. I hardly did anything to Tarn. He got less than he deserved....
Anyway, my save is filled. Quote:
The final sentences in my post can mean two things; 1) either Tarn killed Annū while Galhardir let go of the oar, or, 2) that Annū was too late when he said "don't" because Galhardir already slipped the oar. Eh...Do you understand? I wanted it to be a bit "open" so that you could continue how you'd like. So either Annū is dead, or he just just expressed his "concerns" regarding Galhardir letting his only weapon, the oar, go. It's really up to you. I hope it's alright, of not, pelase do tell me where to edit. :-D Cheers, Oro

Such a bloodthirsty game.
Save filled in. Rōg Can you get me back to that garbage chute? I intend to take on that wicked Corsair captain who will feel compelled to check on the Stone. I don't mind if we bash some heads on the way to the chute, or any other complications you can think of.... Cami

My save is now filled.
Annu is breathing his last, Galhardir has been made to go into the hold (but will it 'hold' him there?), and Tarn has been gripped by something 'strange'... Arry - I have left Annu's death for you, as your death scenes are always good! Quote:

All right, Luindal , I'll meet you at the garbage chute.....and it won't be a pretty sight. I'll do a post or save later today where Marreth can't get the Stone off his mind and, in the midst of fighting, begins wondering if he should go below to check on it.
Great writing everyone! We want to have the game totally finished by Wednesday, December 15. Can we try to get the fighting wrapped up by the evening of Monday the 11th, so we have two days left to tie up lose ends? More ideas on that later today..... Please make sure to fill in your saves. (I should talk!) - Regin

Arry - that was a fantastic death scene as ever! Now I'm sad because Tarn has no-one left to fight...or does he? Maybe he will be fighting himself, after his strange experience when Annu was dying?

Luindal has come through....
On Regin's suggestion, I have pushed the plot through to the final scenes. Everyone is welcome to add a final post saying what happened to their characters. Please try to have those up by the evening of the 15th (Thursday night) so Pio can lock the game down and take it to Elvenhome sometime on the 16th (Friday). I still don't think we've heard the last from Marreth.... He went too quietly!

Yes, if you've got a "live" character (as opposed to a dead one!), please try to get up a final post in the next two days telling us how your character made out at the end.
I've really enjoyed writing with everyone. This has been a lot of fun. And many thanks to everyone for their hard work. I am scrambling with final exams but will do another post for Marreth. I'm certainly not going to leave him in that accursed brig! - Regin

I have completed my final piece!
I have to say, this was such good fun, and I've enjoyed it so much. That was my very first proper RPG and I have quite firmly caught the 'bug'. I couldn't 'kill off' my character though - I though it might be nice for him to learn something from his actions and leave the game with some hope for a better future. I hope I'll be writing with you all again soon, because you're all so good at writing. *big pats on the back all round, and high fives and that kind of thing* Thanks to all! *Lalwende*

Just to let you know - I split your post up - the first 2 sections went up into Child's SAVE #262, since they fit in with the battle scenes and how Galhardir got out. The las section I left in its original place with the farewell scenes. ~*~ Pio

I've put up a save I hope to fill this evening where Marreth will make his escape.
There is just one more post to go after that. I've been in contact with Imladris. (We planned this for some time.) She's promised to do a cameo as Lord Castamir who gets a letter saying what's happened and the fact that Marreth learned about the spying and would like to separate Castamir's head from his neck. Imladris says she'll have this up by the morning of the 16th at the latest.... After that, we can "retire" the game. Great writing everybody. - Regin
