For some truly bizarre reason, I thought I saw Tuor on the lable of a wine bottle. After I blinked a few times, I realized it actually said Tudor. Oftentimes I say Two Towers when I'm talking about the Twin Towers, and vice versa. Also, once my friend was talking about Lord of the Dance (some CD she listens to, I don't really know) and I was like "Lord of the what?"

Lol!!! Well, I have two new LotR related ones... both giving notice to In the Footsteps of the Grey Company, the RPG I was in a while ago.
So I was doing a wordsearch(for class.... amazingly difficult one, too), and I see this word, one of those that they don't mean to put in there, it's just the way the letters lined up... The word was Hermesn. My character's name in the RPG was Hermesin!!! Sorry, I'm a little over-excited, but finding something so close to an RPG name in a school wordsearch??? Another thing is this(In the Footsteps of the Gray company as well): I was reading LotR, and I come upon the word Gorgoroth, which I read as Gorthroth. I immediately reread the word, and see the same thing. As you would expect, I start to look up and go, huh? What would THAT be doing in there?

Haha, I have done the same things with the Lord of the Dance. Being a fan of Irish dance, I am in a dance thread, and every time a member writes 'LOTD', I automatically think 'More Tolkien fans! Hurrah!' Pretty sad that is.
Peace

I saw a book at the library and the title was "Aragones and Evanier" and naturally I thought it said "Aragorn and Evenstar"

I was at the Home Depot, and when I looked at the name of a toilet on a cardboard box, I swore that it said, Aragorn toilet! In reality, it said Argon toilet... God, I was laughing my head off after that one.

There is a street called Greenleaf Ct. When I saw that I was flipping out. I'm like, "LEGOLAS LIVES THERE! DAD, TURN LEFT TURN LEFT!!! I WANT TO GO THERE!"
Not exactly a hallucination but yeah...

I'll be browsing the book section at the store and it never fails, the book "Turning the Tide" always catches my eye I should know better by now.
The other day had to be my weirdest hallucination yet. I thought the box of cereal on the table said "Honey Bunches of Orcs" Of course I laughed about that for a while (for anyone who's never heard of it, it's a cereal actually called "Honey Bunches of Oats)

Yeah I can just see it now. The sweet honey taste taste of Post cereal mixed with the smelly blood thirsty warrior orcs to give you a healthy part of this balanced breakfast. Hehehe...

I was in Romania for about two weeks, and a friend of mine was talking about Canada and said something about Montreal. The way he said it made it sound like 'Moria', and I did a double take until I realised what he was saying. Nobody understood why I started laughing hysterically.
Peace

This thread hasn't been posted on in a while... Oh well, it's one of my favorites. Here it goes:
The most annoying thing is that when I read the posts of almost everyone on this thread, whenever they have something like argon=aragorn, I read the first part as the second part. All your hallucinations are working on me!!! HELP!!!

Interesting topic.
There's a page in the JC Penney catalog that says "Sizewise" in big letters. The first time I saw that page, I did a double take. "Samwise??? What in the world is Sam's name doing in there???" Then I realized that it actually said "Sizewise." However, a bit of a shock hits me every time I go by that page. This technically isn't a word halucination, but it IS a case of LOTR on the brain. My old boss' name was Erin. One day, I was reminding myself to ask her something. "Got to ask Arwen about this before I leave. Got to ask Arwen... Wait, ARWEN??" I never actually slipped and called her that to her face, but I found myself calling her Arwen in my thoughts. It would have been interesting if her name was Sharon. (Sauron...) During English, my teacher asked us something about Catherine of Aragon. I very nearly said Aragorn. Fortunatly, I caught myself before I said something very stupid.

I always read 'Middle East' as Middle earth. And while it's not a hallucination, once I saw the name of an author, Gilbreth, and thought, 'Oh cool! His name is a combination of Elbereth and Gilthoniel!!

Geez, and I thought I was bad...
I do the per. table thing too along with Aragon=Aragorn, habit=hobbit (my mom's even making it worse... "You know, that's a bad hobbit" ), Middle East= Middle Earth (yep, definitly) and everytime I see the book 'The Lord of the Flies' on a book list or something I immediately go 'Awesome! Lord of the Rings' Then I read the title again and kick myself mentally. I've also had: Slippin' = Pippin Marry = Merry (I do that a lot!) Fritos = Frodo Elvis = Elvish Oh and also in my Driver's Ed class last year there was this kid name Elron and every time role was called I'm all "Elrond? In driver's ed?" Oh great! You just cursed me Shire Flower! My boss's name IS sauron, er Sharon. [ October 22, 2003: Message edited by: Enorëiel ] [ October 22, 2003: Message edited by: Enorëiel ]

In my city, there's a shop called something along the lines of Aragon's Hats. The first time I saw it, I thought, Hats? Why would Aragorn be selling hats?
Also, today I managed to get Rohan out of Food. I think it had something to do with Food being in strange looking type and me seeing it out of the corner of my eye.

Today I mistook flood for Elrond, but that's not nearly so bad as "Rooster Rooster" and Prancing Pony.

When my mum told her that our two landlords are called Tom and William I started laughing, and asked if there was another called Bert.

I was driving yetserday, and I saw a sign that said "Pony Rides". Somehow I got "Prancing Pony" out of it.
Reading Shakespeare is very confusing, more so when your almost asleep. The othere day I got "Mt.Doom" out of "Drum Boy". I know this isn't a word issue, but there's a radio tower at the foot of a mountian along a stream. Up that stream is a dam. Imagine that.

I found out why I couldn't find any books by Alexandre Dumas in my school library's catalog. I had been looking for an author called "Alexandre Dunland!!!!!"

Another bad one for me...our band teacher was talking about doing an opus for our next concert. All the while I was thinking, "Why does he want to have an Uruk played for band?" Then I snapped out of it.
Ok, maybe this next one isn't exactly a hallucination, but here goes. While writing a paper for English, I started writing some of it in Elvish. English/Elvish...same difference

Argon the element reminds me of Argon son of Fingolfin. One time I saw the name Arthur and I thought of Arothir the second king of Nargothrond.
