Just to let everyone know that I will post the death early (5pm Eastern Time). However, I will still give you until 6pm Eastern Time tomorrow. It's just that I'm not going to be able to post it at 6 as I will be out at that time. So, when I have the death up, you may all start posting.

My apologies, again, I have a party I had forgotten all about to attend, and definitely won't be online anywhere near the deadline.

Sorry for throwing a uncommented vote into the ring. I just discovered there's a huge lump on the back of my pet bird. So, though I have time (can't do anything about it before Monday...), I have other things buzzing in my head at the moment.
Sorry especially to Naria if I'm wrong. |

Unfortunately I will return to similar posting times as on Day 1 the next day, because I won't be in Noggie's place anymore and have to do my posts during my schoolday (breaks) and only shortly after it, because my computer at home isn't working.

Naria, if you're around, please post and vote ASAP. There's only seven minutes left. Also, I may not have the death scene posted tonight, but I will inform you on who and what he/she is.

I just saw the news from the BBC. Hopefully none of you Canadians were involved in the Montreal shooting or had friends or relatives there. That kind of things are always so futile and sickening.

Just to inform you everyone.
Lommy and I will pack a lent car with Lommy's sister and her three friends and head for the summer cottage (okay, let's call it a fall-cottage now) this weekend. That means that we're able to be occasionally online up to something like halfway Day5 and will be back at the later part of Day6 (and then we will be sharing the computer - Lommy won't be able to stay into the end of the Day, but I probably can). All this assuming we're alive, or that the game is still on, naturally.

I am in fact the next on the list for the junior thread. I have my game all planned out and am just waiting for Glirdy's game to be finished before I post all the details.

This is just something random, but I'm really quite curious. Of all of those who are following and who are playing, what do you think of playing it RPG styled? I just want you're opinions because I'm actually really enjoying this and all the posts are spectacular. So, what are your thoughts?

Well, I'm pretty sure my roleplaying got me killed. Word to the wise, don't pick a grumpy and taciturn persona in Werewolf.
But I enjoyed it while it lasted, and would have liked to have a bit more time for it. It makes it a little harder to get a feel for the other players, though... so I'm looking forward to playing a straight game again.

Personally, being a roleplay nut, I'd like to see more characterization... perhaps it's my (past) wolf side that wanted MUCH more so I'd still be alive right now.
I had fun with the puns, though I'm shocked I never used "You're barking up the wrong tree!"

I quite like it but I have a really bad habit of forgetting and having to add it in at the last second, so I'm not really doing it much. Fun though.

It's fifty-fifty. It's not really much without characterization and not much of that has really happened. If it did, it would probably end up being a distraction or taken the wrong way. Overall, it's just a novelty and shouldn't be made the norm. It's fun but it can also be a chore sometimes.

Sorry, I know that's about the earliest vote ever done, but I'm moving into uni tomorrow and I really don't know if I'll be able to get my internet connected then or if I'll have to wait til Monday. That being the case, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
This also means I won't be around the rest of the Day.

I have loved this RPG-element here. In lmp's Dueling wizards there was something of the same. I mean that the occupations and relations really meant something. And that's great.
Surely at the late hours when you are busy trying to still say something you oftentimes curse the need for making the lines "X went to get another ale", but sometimes it's really fun. But what I think is important, these "highly rolebased"-games make the first days much more fun than in the normal game. In some games I've been in, it has been just of no consequence what your occupation or race is, just futile nonsense one has to come up with but which in the end has no effect on anything. So maybe we should have games with a "background stuff" where we would actually take roles and try to stick with them and then kind of naked-games where evereyone were just themselves (well, their WW-personalities)?

The RP-element was an interesting one. I admit that, being a stranger to roleplaying, I didn't do much in this respect. Except on the first two days, my posts were basically regular werewolf-posts just with " and an additional sentence. Still, reading the posts especially of Day 1 was incredibly funny. Kudos most of all to Diamond, Valesse and Capt. Jack Nogrow!
I agree with Nogrod, it is great that the occupations are now a bit more important. I think it might be interesting to have a similar game where everybody is encouraged to remain in character throughout the game but which is not in third person. |

I guess RPG-style games are more interesting, but is my first game, day 1 was only roleplaying and then later it became too hard to be of any value... It'll be hard to play when there is little time like it is, but I liked this as it was. (or is)

Well seeing as Glirdan's game is either done or almost done, I wanted to start getting players for my game.
This game will have..... 3 Things (WW'S) 1 Seer and 1 Weaver. I will explain a little better as we get some players. I will be posting the Weaver description in a short while..... Also this will be a game of bodysnatchers.... I would like to have at least 12 players before we start. We will start A.S.A.P as soon as there is enough players. The game thread is now up!! Titled "Oh the tangled web we Weave..." Please don't post there. Post and sign up here

The Weaver.
The Weaver has the ability to see connections between two people. Each night the Weaver will ask the Mod about 2 players. They will be told if there is a connection between the two. EX: If say myself and Lommy were both things and we were asked about by the Weaver, the Weaver will be told that there is a connection between us, but they are not told how. Say if the the Weaver asked about Lommy and Nogrod (Ordo let's say) They would be told that there is no connection, seeing as one is an Ordo and the other a Thing. I hope this makes sense...... I will be taking pms from players that would like the Weaver role. This role is a little more complicated and I want the player who gets it, to have wanted it. Also the Weaver has a protective barrier until the Things attempt to change her/him to their side(kill). The Weaver will survive that one attack. The Weaver's protection is gone after this attack and they can be killed after this happens. This gives the Weaver time to share their info with the village before they die. The Weaver may also ask about the same person as often as they like.

I like the Weaver idea, i currently at an Idea of a Medium, basically a Seer of the dead.
The Medium will pick one of the dead after 2-3 days in, the mod will then pick one of the werewolves and give the name to the medium, the medium must then describe that werewolf in riddles without using the actual name(still debating on this rule) The medium can only use his/her's power every 2-3 days, to make it more fair to the wolves, but the medium is dangerous because it can single out the wolves, but that is only if people beleive the medium. now that i been thinking, the medium can't use his/her powers till the werewolf that has been named be killed off, after that then after 2-3 days the medium can then gain another name. just wondering what you think about the Medium, i think that it can be a fun addition, essepcially in my Werewolf gang wars game, which plans to have: - 6 werewolves(3 in each gang, one of each with be Wolf Leader) - 14 Villagers(includes gifted) - 1 seer - 2 guardians - 1-2 hunters - 1 medium With the wolf leader, if he/she has been killed or lynched, then that gang can not make a kill that night, each gang gets one kill each a night(debating that) or they take turns once a night(i will flip a coin to see with gang goes first) so far it makes sense to me, any questions about it let me know, i'm still in planning stages

Valier, I'm that flattered to be used as an example that put me down as a "probable"... If this overlaps with Sleepy's game, I won't be able to play however. And I vote
++ no role-playing It was fun, but i want to have a pause from it.

I've already promised to be in Sleepy's game that will begin soon, probably... So I will have to see about this. I just realised again that playing WW really distracts the RL-flow pretty much. Well, that's worse for the real life?
So no promises, but if you start only after Sleepy's game and have problems with recruitment, then I might be persuaded. New concepts are always fun to try out... BTW: Is the modding-line shorter here (in comparison to the WW-thread) as I suppose? I've only modded one game and that was co-modding with Lommy. I might wish to add myself to the list so that maybe next spring or something I could be in turn, if the games still go forwards with some regularity...
