I've heard of them, Briana. But then, I work at a library, so... But acutally, they circulate quite a bit, so I assumed they were popular.

I think that Peter Jackson should either do The mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley or Huckelberry Finn by Mark Twain. Either of these literary works could be done on film and would turn out great with all the special effects that are done today and the plot lines.

I would suggest.....
The Ring Cycle!!!!
Or Der Ring Die Nibelung(did I spell it right? Sorry, don't speak Germen)
If that's ever made into a movie, I would be the first to see it. I wanted to see it in theatre for quite long now. But Vancouver doesn't have a proper opera house and I can just keep dreaming.
I think it would make a great movie. First, there is way more room for PJ's imagination. I figure he is not that kind guy to stick to every single word. He has no limits for the screeplay for the Ring. I mean it is Germen mythology that has at least 10 diffrent versions. Wagner's version off course would be the basics, but then he could expand as much as he want.
Second he could show off his knack for spectacular visual effects. Then we could see Weta off to work agian. There's a heck alot to show: The ride of the Valkyrie would of course be the selling point.
Third, he doesn't need to hire a composer. Howard Shroe is wonderful, but we have got Wagner this time. I would waste time argue the greatness of his music here. At last, guess what, it's also about a ring!!!! After the world shaking Lord of the Rings, you had figure PJ just has luck with "Rings".

Well you don't have to worry about PJ doing Narnia. But the director seems a bit iffy to me. (SHREK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )
narnia movie
but i don't know, i think he would do well with a sci-fi or some Roman
fighting movie or something .
[ January 31, 2003: Message edited by: Lady_Báin ]
