Arossiach is on the same "longitude" as the Eastern boarders of Doriath...
Is it in Feanor's son's realms?

Is it sentient? - No
A living creature/organism? - No An object? - No Is it smaller than an elf? - No An event? - No A place? - Yes Is it in ME? - Yes West of the Misty Mtns? - Yes. In Eriador? - No Was is on the surface in the third age? - No Ummm a realm? - No, not according to Tolkien...it sort of fits the definition though.... Did dwarves, elves, or orcs create or improve it? - Way to be precise, ....hmm, well both elves and orcs were there at points, and there was some form of elvish settlement... West of Sirion? - No Tol Sirion/Tol-in-Gaurhoth? - No, Sorry Was it inhabited by the Noldor? - Yes West of the Arossiach? - Judging by the blurry little map I have, no, but I can't be entirely sure on that one.... Is it in Feanor's son's realms? - Yes...in fact, though Tolkien never calls it a realm...well, it is guarded by one of them....

Is it a "large (ish)" region? (rather than, eg a city)

I better stop for today, since it's already tomorrow, and my brain is starting to malfunction.

Very, very close, but still the wrong brother. The place I'm looking for though, is right by Himring.

Yes, he is. ...so, you have three choices left: Maglor, Amrod, or Amras for the brother....

Lothlann?
Amrod and Amras are out, since they are nowhere close to Himring - too far south. I don't know!!! Lothlann wasn't really any brother's!!!

No, not Lothlann...here's a hint, it has the brother's name in it. (and yes, you're right that Amrod and Amras are out)

Ah, ok... Is it the clothing store of the same chain as the Gap of Rohan? (aka is it Maglor's Gap?)

Ah, see I'm far more likely to remember something out of the Sil then say, LotR or TH. I've read the Sil more, and I tend to gravitate towards it and discussions of it...which reminds me that I need to go over to DA and answer some comments....

Living thing - not really
Object - no Sentient - in a way Undead - no You were probably confused how it's not a living thing but sentient. It's somewhat similar to, say, a forest: it's not really a living thing, but it's kind of alive... So I changed the answers to be less confusing.

Duh, of course not - the Watchers would qualify as objects, wouldn't they? Think before you type, Pitch.
Is it natural?

Object - no Sentient - in a way/you could say so Undead - no Silent Watchers - no Natural - as in, not crafted? As much as I'm tempted to confuse you all, I won't. "It" is natural.

Connected to Elves - yes, very!! Present during the first age - yes Present in more than one age - yes The Girdle is waaaay off. This isn't that hard. "It"'s something that is at the same time physical and a concept - but only because "living creatures who can think" made it a concept by differentiating it from... others.

Connected to Elves - yes, very!! Present during the first age - yes Present in more than one age - yes Straight Road - no, it's much more "alive" The example that I gave before - a forest - is probably too much of a clue to give at the very beginning, but I couldn't think of a better one. So yes, this is another clue. Think of how a forest works, why it could be considered alive, etc...
