my best shot, Diamond, since you invite them-
"Why would I read the book when I can see the movie?!?" (spoken in very stereotypically blond tones)

Sophia the Thunder Mistress: I could never ever stay up all night browsing the BDs!
or CS Lewis sucks! Diamond18: Why should I want to write a book when I could become a Backstreet Boys groupie??

Diamond18: Ugh! I despise parody and punnery. They most definately rank equally as the lowest form of humour.
obloquy: But surely it is fundamental to the understanding of Tolkien's works to establish precisely what Legolas looked like. Sophia the Thunder Mistress: Nope, I just can't be bothered to go and look that one up. ... OK, so that last one brings to mind the words pot, kettle and black

Why would you want to becaome a Backstreet Boys groupie when they're about to fall apart into their own individual bands ( to much fun with their fame... )? I've always hated them anyway....back to the topic now!

Any Downer: I am glad that they left the Barrow Downs out of the movie. I mean it would be a whole lot more confusing to see where those three Hobbits got their swords from. And that way they did not have to put that annoying Thomas Bombadil in. And why did we need him anyway? Pippin and Meriadoc could just have died in that ehm what is it called? Oh yes the Whomping Willow.(for people who don't know it, that is a tree from Harry Potter ) It is not as if those two have done any good. Well, I don't know since I don't read the second book. I stopped at the tree cuz that Bombadil fellow came. I think that J.K. Tolkien made a serious mistake there. I think he should have stopped after the Hobbit anyway.
I don't think you are gonna see that on the downs |

I think that the mods would most certainly not post that they would like the conversation. They would just say: Soap is not of the essence. Please get back on topic. It would be funny of Bethberry would say: Yeah I have seen that movie, it totaly rocked. Did you know that the soundtrack from my little pony was written by the same artist that did the cuddlebears? I would be very surprized. |

Since it seems to be pick on Helka day (or maybe week.. or month... ) I guess I'll take a turn, too. This is inspired by our lovely chats on MSN:
Helka: RPing? What? Who cares! I'm never gonna RP in my life! I mean, it takes soooo much time... I have a life you know! I think everyone else should see my way, too. Nobody else should start RPing.... Ever!

Iarwain: Morality? Well, it's very black and white really. No point in getting into a deep discussion about it.
Legolas: Tolkien's letters have absolutely nothing to add to our understanding of Tolkien's works.
