The Lay Of Leithian.

"I sent my son forth, unthanked, unblessed, out into needless peril, and here he lies with poison in his veins."

This was spoken by Denethor. It really makes me feel for him. I can understand his despair and it breaks my heart.

I love the part when Gandalf speaking to Denethor says, "Nay my lord when you are a dotard you will die."

I also love when Sauraman speaks to King Theoden and Gandalf and Company after the battle of Helms Deep. I have always wanted to hear his voice at that part!

And finally when Theoden says" I have lived to see strange days. Long we have tended our beasts and our fields, built our houses, wrought our tools, or ridden away to help in the wars of Minas Tirith. And that we called the life of Men, the way of the world."
I love that part!

Snowdog is a guest of Tom Bombadil.
Tolkien

One of mine:

'Through Rohan over fen and field where the long grass grows
The West Wind comes walking, and about the walls it goes.
'What news from the West, O wandering wind, do you bring to me to night?
Have you seen Boromir the Tall by moon or by starlight?'
'I saw him ride over seven streams, over waters wide and grey;
I saw him walk in empty lands, until he passed away
Into the shadows of the North. I saw him then no more.
The North Wind may have heard the horn of the son of Denethor.'
'O Boromir! From the high walls westward I looked afar,
But you came not from the empty lands where no men are.'
