Back to the origional topic:
Do nots: Start chanting elvish curses at the kid sitting next to you. Try to wisk all the other people in line away with a flood by using an elven spell. Try and make your car get there faster by wispering to it in elvish. You will just get a ticket. ok here is a special one that is for real ***DO NOT START TALKING ABOUT WHAT IS COMING UP NEXT IN THE PLOT!!!*** I took my friend to see LOTR and she hadnt read the book yet and some jerk kept talking about what was coming up next. It didnt hurt me cause I knew but she was kinda upset. (she did read all the books though!! ) Save the discussions for after the movie! |

I went to see HP last Saturday and discovered that TTT trailer was not in it. I was ready to shout out what happened to it.
At HP: Each time Luscius Malfoy appears on screen, shout, "Haldir, you have turned evil! What happened?" I swear that guy looks like him!

I'm sorry, I didn't know that the actor died recently! I never would have said that otherwise!!
BTW, I heard that Sir Ian McKellan died recently of leukemia, is this true?

Oh, Brinniel, bummer! I wonder why it didn't have it for you? That's really weird.
Mintyztwin, I haven't heard anything about Sir Ian McKellen dying. I'm assuming that the news stations would've been talking about it if he had, so I'm guessing (and hoping) that he hasn't. ~*~Orual~*~

WEll, (this is sorta complicated, but here goes) my mom was talking to her friend about LotR (whether or not we should get it.), and her friend mentioned that "Gandalf" had died a few weeks ago from leukemia, and that he had had leukemia during the shooting of LotR. So I heard it second-second hand. But I know my mom's friend so it's possible true. I WANT TO KNOW!!! Arg. Somebody tell me!

that was richard harris, who played dumbledore in HP, wasn't it?
don't do: when HP gets the sword of gryffindor from the hat, yell "Andúril for Elendil!" compare ron to sam in ANY way yell "whatever happened to helm's deep?!?" at the end of the movie complain because you didn't see orlando bloom, elijah wood, or viggo mortenson (sp?) (i'm looking at YOU, girls) think that it's the Ring talking to HP when all it is is the damned basilisk in the pipes yell "ha! you'd get better faster in the houses of healing!" when HP is in the hospital wing -ms [ November 19, 2002: Message edited by: Manwe Sulimo ] [ November 19, 2002: Message edited by: Manwe Sulimo ]

Yeah, I imagine she probably mixed "Gandalf" up with "Dumbledore." Blasphemy, to be sure, but likely just an honest mistake.
(Note to HP fans: I'm only kidding! I'm only kidding! I went to see Chamber of Secrets on the 15th, I'm not anti-HP!) ~*~Orual~*~

My Halloween costume (that no one understood *sob* ) was a hobbit. I made a cloak, & I wore a hobbit shirt, vest, pants, and jacket, I wore the RING, & I covered my brown shoes with doll-making hair.
I'm going to wear it when I go see HP.

LoL Thulorongil (excuse me if I misspelled your name, it's late...)! I was a hobbit too, and nobody recognized me either. I was Sam. I had a great costume--knicker-length khaki pants, an 1800's period working-style shirt, a green vest, no shoes, a short sword, and the Ring. I think it was the Ring that threw people off. But which movie is coming out? THE TWO TOWERS! Think about the end. Makes sense. But, most people hadn't even read Fellowship...le sigh.

Actually Orual, in an interview with one of the crew members, it was said that Shelob's Lair and everything after that will be in ROTK.

yup, you spelled my name right.
and that would be something not to do at TTT then, for non-readers if Shelob will be in RotK

Well, I know that it'll be in RotK, but the friends I was expecting to recognize me were book-fans, not movie-fans anyway. Nobody else had even seen Fellowship. (And besides, if the others had really known me that well, they should've known that I was Sam anyway!)

Yeah... I had a Halloween costume recognition problem too. Nobody got it that I was a Hobbit!! One lady (Actually my last year's Spanish teacher) Asked me, "Why aren't you wearing shoes? Aren't you cold?" And I was there with my other friend, also as a Hobbit (Pippin in fact) and we just said that that's how it was supposed to be. Some people should do more reading!!

I am tired, and this probably isn't funny, but I feel like posting it.
When the school of wizards comes up on screen, yell, "BARAD-DUR RIP OFF!"

Something to do at TTT:
"Laugh, cry, be moved, Bob!" "Er- Mintyztwin? That ain't my name." "Oh. Right." Don't do at HP: Bring pennants with TTT on them, and football game noise makers, wear baseball hats with "The One" on them, shout and yell, and act like you're at a footbal game! Hmm . . . very disrespectful . . .Never mind. (Bad Mintyztwin! Bad llama!)
