The reason I wanted the kids to look Gondorian was because otherwise Merra and Penram would to face intense prejudice and perhaps even hostility from native Gondorians after they came back to Gondor. But hey, if you think your character can overcome such minor hardships as racial discrimination and latent distrust toward a race that is considered to be predominantly if not entirely evil, then the choice is entirely up to you. I will change my post to reflect yours.
