Eruwen has just left Hobbiton.
Tolkien You can visit Middle Earth!!

For a long while, the people who owned a farm in Matamata, New Zealand allowed Peter Jackson to keep up his buildings and such of Hobbiton on their property; however, they did not allow tourists to regularly come and visit. This has now changed. According to the head of the home, Ian Alexander, they are now setting up a tourist spot for fans of the movie.

quote:
''There was no question, really,'' Russell Alexander, Ian's son said. ''We had a constant stream of people popping by, asking to take a quick peek. We had to organize it, and we thought that we'd charge them a little bit to cover the costs of running the tours.''

It is said that the tour costs $30.00.
