How did you find LOTR?? The movie first or the book.
I was wondering, how many people were inspired to get into the stories by way of the movie? Did you do what i did and watched the movie once when you hadn't read the book, then when you did went back to see it over and over to compare it. Or did you find the books and just HAD to see the movies. Or, are there people here that haven't seen the movie yet?
I read 'The Hobbit' because I had to in school (it was manditory reading in grade eight) and I read it two other times, but never really figured that the Lord of the Rings had any connection to 'The Hobbit' except they were by the same author. I saw the movie, and realized Bilbo was in it so I picked up the book and immediatly fell in love with it.
What about you? How did you come across the LOTR??
Sincerely,
Daegwenn

Over the cobbles he clatters and clangs in the dark inn-yard. And he taps with his whip on the shutters, but all is locked and barred. He whistles a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there But the landlord’s black-eyed daughter, Bess, the landlord’s daughter, Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair" Highwayman Alfred Noyes |
