Flight From Rohan: Discussion Thread
Himaran and Carrûn invite you to play:
Flight from Rohan Basic Storyline: Heldór Hildeson was a brave knight from Rohan, who had fought on many battlefields; including Helms Deep in the War of the Ring. His career was abruptly terminated when he was framed for the murder of another knight at Edoras. Though innocent, he was found guilty of the crime and thrown into prison to await his sentence. Heldór’s elder brother Brytta, has discovered Heldór’s innocence. Gathering around himself a small group of friends, also Rohirrim Knights, he devises a daring plan to break his younger sibling out of prison and deliver him safely to Bree from where he can attempt to hide out in the North Downs until the true killer can be brought to justice and the knight pardoned. Though they realize that taking part in this plan could very well cost them their lives, several of the brother’s friends agree to help. Only Brytta knows the exact name of the killer, but all are convinced of the accused man’s innocence. They travel along the Old South Road through the Gap of Rohan, but are unfamiliar with the Western territories past that. Lost in the region of Eregion, they encounter a dark Ranger going by the pseudonym of Awyrgan. He offers to help them re-orient themselves and reach Bree, but refuses to get involved further in the situation, not bothering or wanting to know why the party is fleeing. Fréa Forgoil, the murderer, had volunteered to guard Heldór and was on duty when he escaped. Too embarrassed to report it to the King personally, Fréa sets out after him with his two brothers. They track and harass the friends along the Old South Road and the two groups are set to eventually clash somewhere outside of Bree.
