Rose Cotton has just left Hobbiton.
Silmaril What if the Ring was thrown in the ocean?

If you remember, at the Council of Elrond they considered throwing the Ring into the sea in order to hide it. I thought about this and this scenario came to mind:

Two elves are out at sea.

Elf 1: Do you think we're out far enough.

Elf 2: Sure. Just get rid of it.

Elf 1 throws the Ring into the sea.

The ring floats gently to the bottom.

For days it sits there.

Until one day someone comes up to it and picks it up. Unable to figure out what the Ring is the person decides to seek help.

Person: Patrick! Patrick! What is this?

Patrick: I don't know Spongebob. But it's shiny.

LOL! Do I watch too much Spongebob or what?
