Sounds like an Ent--definitely an Ent.
Hoom, Hom, what could his name be, now...

Er, that is the trouble with translating names. But if you must know, it is "Egehoved". But I don't think it makes sense to you.
Hoom...

Well, Daniel, to be fair, my full name is
Stacey Nadine Uffelman.
My parents made up the "Nadine" by putting together the names of my two grandmothers,
"Nancy" and "Augustine".
As far as meanings:Augustine="The exalted, sacred, or sublime."
Nancy="Grace."
Nadine="Hope."
Yike. "The exalted, sacred, or sublime."???
That sounds pretentious....

I must admit, I consider Nadine to be a nice name, but of course you may view it otherwise.

Thank you, Daniel, I do, too. I always found it kind of interesting how my parents decided to come up with that.

Yeah, names can be very interesting. My eldest sister decided my first name, and now that she is pregnant, I want to decide her child's name. But she won't let me. Probably scared that I'll call him John Ronald Reuel or Aragorn.

It could be worse. You could tell her you wanted to name the little one Smeagol...or "better" yet, Gollum.

What about Morgoth? Seems fitting, or what?
---------------------------------------------
Samwise
Ai! Now I wouldn't curse a little one with that...
this is going to be your neice or nephew, correct? Would you want to call it "Morgoth"?
-------------------------------------------
So...if you had the opportunity to name (a) child(ren) after something "Tolkienish", which names would you choose?
