Let the countdown begin!

Last year's tournament was quite exciting, culminating in a thrilling last-minute trick penalty kick by Armenelos to upset the pre-tournament favorite Hithlum.

In the Phantasy contest, the ending was equally exciting, with Skip Spence mounting a furious comeback and overtaking Boro and Nog in the final round of play.

There have been some major roster shake-ups in the offseason (our crack reporting team will be telling about those later), and this year is shaping up to be even more entertaining than last, but the only sure way to guarantee fun is to get as many people playing as possible!

Skip, Nog, and Boro are likely to be with us again, providing their thrilling match reports and expert editorials on behalf of Arda Kicker Magazine and MESPN, but as always you are invited to give your own take on the upcoming games and provide recaps from your own point of view.

The teams and rosters will be released in the coming days, and the Phantasy Competition thread will start soon after that. That is where you will pick players for your team and make trades and such.
