Henneth Annun

Posts: 63</TD><TD></TD></TR></TABLE> Well I am currently reading the BOOK for the 7th time, and am wondering how Henneth Annun is able to be kept secret from Sauron or his armies when it is lies so extraordinarily close to Mordor. You would think that Sauron's flying spies would have spotted it from the airs, or something like that. Anyone got any comments ? Another Henneth Annun remark, it must have been a very big cavern to house the several hundred of Faramir's men. I can't remember if Tolkien mentioned if it was a natural or man-made cave ? By the way, for those who have not read up to this part or cannot remember, Henneth Annun is a water fall in Ithilien, called by the Men of Gondor, the Window of the Sunset.
