Well, coming back and glancing things over I find that several people have gotten my personallity right but few have pinpointed my looks. Keep guessing away.
To help...Mark 12_30 was closest with just about everything she mentioned. (I'm assuming it's a she since others have said so...I really hadn't discerned that.) Still not quite on. Durelin: Tallish, kinda, at 5'6, blond straigt hair, curled at the end slightly, and layered. Blue eyes, though not startlingly so like some people's are, and a regular built body - not skinny, but definitely not plump. Loves to shop and likes to have nice clothes. Mark 12_30: If you are a girl, and assuming that you are seeing as you've not defended yourself otherwise, I picture you as Mom's height...five foot one. Brown hair and big brown eyes. You're quiet most of the time and observe, saying little unless you're really have a lot of fun, and because you say little, everyone thinks you're really smart. When you're inside, you read a lot, and you like Old-English History. When you're outside, you enjoy walking in the woods. Hows that? Anywhere near? Mormegil...now he's tough. I have to admit and say I first thought he was a girl. That was embarrassing. But with how he reacted, a new picture instantly popped into my mind of a chap who once came down and visited for a day. Tall...above six foot, but not too much taller than that, or it'd be rediculous. Blond hair, blue eyes, often laughing, though very smart, and is in his mid thirties. All I've time for tonight, folks. Later!

Curse the limit on smileys; I had a truly brilliant post lined up there!
Well, the most relevant were: - Lhunardawen - The Saucepan Man - HerenIstarion Next time, the 'wink', the 'tongue', and the 'grin'.

Or I could just do it now:
- dancing spawn of ungoliant - Feanor of the Peredhil - Lalwende The other 6 were filler, as you can imagine.

Well, after reading through WWVII, it would seem that this would describe TORE to a tee:
I've always imagined the guy who be short as a middle-aged, not-short, strongly-built, muscle-shirt-wearing caucasian who laughs at how everyone really doesn't know what he's like! Encaitare is a middle-aged beauty who is talked about by others because of her looks. She is also quite intelligent and would like to be know for that, too, though her intelligence often goes overlooked.

I am now imagining Boromir as one of the Test Match Special crew noticing buses, pigeons and scoffing chocolate cake, having a photographic memory of Wisden and collapsing into helpless laughter after inadvertant double entendres. The only question is wether he would be Borrers or Eighters......

BDers as colours!
THE Ka is a darkish sort of maroon-purple.
Estelyn Telcontar is yellow-green. Fea is darkish wine red. Eomer is brown. Umm...I'll do more later.

I discovered quite randomly yesterday that I have a few songs (or bands) in my head that really remind me of Barrowdowners.
When I think of Eomer of the Rohirrim, I tend to imagine Modest Mouse or Bright Eyes playing behind him. That's in the threads. Via PMs, Metallica's earlier albums have the spotlight. Encaitare is the song Bittersweet Symphony. "A million different people from one day to the next" describes her nicely, since so many people describe her differently. Due to TGWBS's avatar when he was modding Tol-in-Gaurhoth, he has Of Wolf and Man by Metallica playing on a regular basis. The Phantom has Frank Sinatra. Estelyn has Bach. Sharku has creepy classical. Not in a bad way, just... more drums. Mithalwen, due to a well-chosen mathom, has I Will Survive at nearly all times. It is broken up with bagpipes playing mournfully (but way cooly) on a far distant hill in the morning fog. Don't get me wrong... I have no idea if these people actually listen to the songs or bands I just mentioned... but they remind me of each other.

I've always thought of Mith as Harriet Vane. Tall, short dark hair, kind of thick eyebrows, sallow complexion. I don't have a mental image of her as Harriet from the BBC versions (the later ones, Harriet wasn't in the ones from the '60's), but more from the cover of some of my mom's Dorothy Sayers books, very much like this.

Mithalwen is the colour of aspen leaves in early-ish autumn.
Orominuialwen is a dark, slightly purplish blue, somewhere between cobalt and navy blue. Wilwarin is light blue with a bit of pink behind, that blends in some places to a lilac purple. The Phantom is very dark purple. Saucepan Man is a rather ordinary shade of brown.

Encaitare, besides being a mystikally cellorific enterprise (I have said this earier in this thread... It's somewhere and beautiful.) has always reminded me of of a good true Pre-Raphaelite work, possibly a Rossetti. Something like this: Helen The phantom reminds me of an Cubist work, specifically Arch Tower by Lyonel Feininger. Wilwarin, is more of a Georgia O'Keeffe, especially From the Lake I. Elennar Starfire, is without a doubt one Brian Froud's wonderful pastels, Penelope. ~ Aesthete

Well I make a better sleuth than a villain certainly.... that doesn't look an awful lot like me but it does rather remind me of a picture of my great grandmother - - the same shaped face and expression.... I am tall .. the rest well I will ressurect this http://www.essentialart.com/tt/Dante..._Beloved_f.jpg not quite so long nosed or rusty (edit due to a Loreal related disaster - I am now that rusty !!) - and I find a suit and fewer acolytes more appropriate for the office! Or maybe this is closer ......... http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=...rg/Mona/images or this http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=...640/piglet.jpg

Does anybody else imagine people as actions?
Feanor has always been a excited forward rushing movement. Eomer is an elegant half-pirouette, half-jump thing which, if he tried to do in real life, would probably end with him in a small heap and a broken arm. Gil-Galad is a sort of excited bounce. SpM is a little amused laugh, and then two saucepans crashing together. LMP is a smirk which develops into manic laughter. The Ka is a philosophical frown. |

The funny thing is, you're the only BDer I see in action, TGWBS. You're like my older brother when he was younger, and are always talking over your shoulder and therefore running into things because you're not looking where you're going. - Folwren

The Ka I have always imagined as Luna Lovegood from HP.
Whenever I see the abbreviation for Child's name C7A, I get the picture of some droid from Star Wars (not one of the stupid ones, though... more like R2-D2 or C-3PO). |

Squatter... wears sunglasses, even at night. He also has a red fedora and is smoking... something. Actually... he reminds me of the Blues Brothers. Oh hey, I found a picture:
Ka, this is, and always has been, you. The Phantom is this guy.

The Phantom as Westley from The Princess Bride? Against all odds that just makes them both way cooler...

Not Westley, my dear, but the legendary Man in Black, The Dread Pirate Roberts. See, it's the name that inspires the true fear and awe and all that.
