The first time I read it, I nearly broke down and cried. Then I read it more thoroughly and read the reactions at the bottom, and I calmed down. But seriously, if PJ did make it...
*makes slicing motion across her neck*

THAT was a bit to far off base, even for PJ. Even if I hadn't seen the web address of the site: ...everydaylies...-I'm not sure if I'd have fallen for it. It's always fun have the heck scared out of you by something like that!!! But I was reading along & all of a sudden I realized, this DEFINATLY isn't true, PJ is actually admitting to adapting the movie to his own ideas! He should've just said something like this: " Although this movie will be made soley on my own wim & imagination, I will still call it: 'The Hobbit' based on the book by J.R.R. Tolkien, after all, the name is still the same!" Now that would've almost made me believe it...

That was cruel and very very cold. People who pull stuff like this should be pumeled.

I HAVE actually heard that PJ was going to make 'The Hobbi't a while after the trilogy was released, but I'm not sure if you want to bank on that or not. My Dad still says this almost every time after we watch either movie: " I still think they're idiots for not starting with The Hobbit." Strange.

If they ever do make a Hobbit movie I would want nothing changed except one thing. The part when the Drawves and Bilbo are captured in Mirkwood by Thranduil's people I think it would be great if Legolas was stuck in there somewhere just for giggles.

Ian McKellan has already said he would like to play Gandalf again if the Hobbit is made, but he would like to see it made into a "limited season" TV show much as Babylon 5 was invisioned from the start as a five season story arc.

I don't know, that could be cool...but then I'd be forced to by the whole 'limited season TV series' that came out at the end. & that would be a heck of a lot more than the normal VHS/DVD. Although it be really long...hmmm.

Welcome to the Downs Dragonslayer!
My friend told me today that he found a Hobbit trailer of some kind on kazaa. And he did a search on google to see if they really are making a hobbit movie. Apparently, Ian Holm is Bilbo, Anthony Sirkis is gollum again I am guessing, and Ian McKellen is Gandalf. I did my own search and found the trailer. Here is a link that I hope you guys will find interesting and informative.

The trailer and news are on that site. I hope they really do go through with this and make a most excellent adaptation of the hobbit.

[ August 07, 2003: Message edited by: hobbit punk ]
