Ring The Ringbearers in Aman & the fëar of Hobbits

Are there any theories of what would become of the mortals Frodo, Bilbo and Sam once they reach the undying lands? As far as I know, no mortal before them has been allowed to live amongst the elves and ainur in Aman. Connected to this: is anything know about the fëar of Hobbits? Are they "men" in that way, or rather like the Dwarves or Ents? Is anything known about this?

What fear of hobbits?
I believe that they would just arrive there...the same...
The elves do not change their bodies etc. (as far as I know) and thus..the hobbits wouldn't.

Welcome to the Downs Robin.

Take a look at this

Basically their fea is the fea of a man. And they suffer a similar fate to the fate of the Fathers of Men and the Numinorions, they can die in Aman when they feel that it is their time to die.

Oh yeah welcome Airefanaiel too. Nice first post

About the fea of Hobbits I can't say very much, but I can say that the Hobbits never went to Aman. They went to Tol Eressea, the Lonely Isle, that is in sight of the Undying Lands. They were the only mortal ones on that island, but it didn't make them immortal or change in any way.

greetz,

How do you know that the Ringbearers only went to Tol Eressëa? They were with Gandalf, who probably was going to Valinor, since he was a Maia. The Ringbearers were all "special cases", not just Sindar or Noldor going West.

I think the first mortal to be able to stay in the undying lands was Tuor. Or atleast in silm it was "believed" that he passed over the sea to the west, but of course believed if different from he did.

1) They died.

2) Hobbits are men.

3) Tuor was made immortal.
