I'll make one for ya! Otherwise... just search around the 'Net... click "file" then "open" and type in 'animations'!

Try this (it's how I found mine):
when you see someone's avatar that you quite like, right click on it, choose Properties, and get the name. Then copy and paste that into the address bar on top of your screen, and you will find the website where they got theirs. Then you are free to look around the rest of that site and pick a different avatar that you like. It beats doing loads of searches on Yahoo or Google or whatever. Mine came from http://www.bestanimations.com Hope that helps!

I'm just checking to see if mine works. If I don't have a nifty little picture under my name, what exactly are you supposed to type into the picture line in the profile?
Thanks! Yippee! It worked! Thanks for the links! [ March 13, 2003: Message edited by: Darkside ]

I haven't the slightest clue how to do it, and being as I'm so impatient, I think I'll never have an avatar. So in the future, if you should see a post of mine, imagine next to it a picture of A TOTAL CLUELESS SPAZZ.
Thank you in advance!

So am I. I would like that, too. Even though I'm sure you'd do well just imagining a picture of a TOTAL CLUELESS SPAZZ by my post. Thanks guys for showing where to get the pictures, but what do I do to put one up?

~HOW TO GET AN AVATAR IN JUST 10 EASY STEPS~
1. You have to find a picture online that you like (well, not really. you just have to find a picture online). 2. Right-click on the picture. 3. You should see a little drop-down list. Click on your last choice, 'Properties.' 4. A box-thingy should pop up. A little tab at the top should say, 'General' and the rest should say: Protocol: (whatever it says) Type: (GIF/JPEG Image) Address: (Here it says the URL. Highlight it, and copy it.) (URL) 5. Go back to the Barrow-Downs. 6. Click on 'my profile.' 7. Click on '>> View/Update Profile <<' 8. Paste the URL of the picture underneath 'OR enter your own image URL (support: .gif .jpg .png .swf).' 9. Scroll down, and cilck the button that says 'View/Update prolfile.' 10. YAAAAYY!!! You have an Avatar!! Now go show it off to the world!!!

Yes, it's Janet Leigh from "Psycho", the shower scene. I thought it was a bit of a hoot.

Here's me trying out a candle avatar and a new sig.
After a few short minutes: Oh gosh it's a thing of beauty! Thank you, Eressië Ailin. I followed your 10 steps. Very easy to follow. P.S. If somebody else has this avatar, please PM me so I can find a different one. [ March 31, 2003: Message edited by: secretfire ]

Mordor_Queen, I can finally see yours; it's one of my favorites, although it's been used by quite a few people before.
Cherie Centaur, I think your current avatar is lovely.

Dont forget that some site have bandwith limitations, if they are exceded, you get a nice red X as your avatar.
