Nazgűl-king has just left Hobbiton.
Eöl and Denethor

Eöl and Denethor have a few interesting similarities; both tried to kill their own son but failed because of the intervention of others, and both died in similar ways (at least the Denathor in the film dies in a similar way). Did you guys notice these similarities; or any others I may have missed?

P.S. I wasn’t sure if this should go in books or movies section, so if this is in the wrong area, please move it.

I think that the similarities are nothing more then a simple coincidence.

Maybe the problems they had in the love life?

Denethor was loved by his wife, wasn't he? And anyway, the wife died. Eol... well, his wife ran away.
