Terry Slogan?
Friends, Downers, Countrymen. I bring before you a proposition.
Wandering the internet is a tiresome business, even for the avid Tolkien fan. Something has attracted those who stay here now to the cosy, timeless life of Barrow Dwellers. But, what about those unfortunate Tolkien-fans who wander, ever seeking, ever searching for that special forum. Well, I think we need to get out there and make a stand. The Barrow Downs needs to step up a gear and take a more active advertising campaign. Yes, this is all, as you may have noticed, complete rubbish. But, hear me out. The most prestigious places and products in the world have their own slogans. For example, British Telecom used to have "It's Good to Talk", MacDonald’s are currently using "I'm lovin' it" (In England, anyway. I'm not so sure about other places). And there are many more. What I am suggesting is that we put our brains together and think of a slogan to go with the site, or the Forum or what ever you like. They can be silly or sensible. Here are a few of my own Ideas. "The Barrow Downs: The Forum that Knows." "The Barrow Downs: Your key to the Middle Earth" "The Barrow Downs: The Forum that reads you!" Have fun!

Or why not something as simple as:
The Barrow-Downs - Enjoy your death! OR The Barrow-Downs - You'll end up here sooner or later. The Barrow-Downs - Where your dreams (and Balrogs) gain wings! The Barrow-Downs - We don't even need this slogan!

Here's a few
The Barrow Downs: - "You'll never leave." - "The forum that mugs you for your common sense" - "A continuous Fight to the death!" - "We have friends *shifty eyes*" - "Does exactly what it says on the tin."

The Barrow Downs:
- Part of a nutricious breakfast
- Where your dreams may (read: won't) come true. - None (read: all) of us are on drugs or medication. - No purchase necessary. - Yeah, sorry, it was the best we could do. - Violence? Nudity? Swearing? Pfft! Of course not! - Rotting corpses? You bet! - Don't say we didn't warn you. - We put the 'ack' in Peter Jackson. - We put the 'olk' in Tolkien

I've been advertising the forum a lot recently, so this thread hits a tender spot on my funny bone.
The Barrowdowns: - "Is there anyone we can't uncloak?" - "Question everything." - "We give it five scars!" - "A powerhouse of thought with an eerie green glow." - "--/--/--------/-----/-------!" - "We're even killing the chat skerwls!" - "This forum is off topic." - "We might be dead, but we live it up!" - "Assigned to Mordor? No problem!" - "Sleep is for the living."

Song slogans & something else
The Barrow-Downs:
- Who let the wights out? - The answer to our life. - More than words. - A view to a kill. And what about: The Barrow-Downs - Because you're worth it. No wait, I think there's some brand that already uses that slogan... Perhaps: The Barrow-Downs - Elves and Dragons! (When cabbages and potatoes are not enough for you.) The Barrow-Downs - We will lynch you and some of us bite. Hmm, the latter might be a bit discouraging. Maybe simply: The Barrow-Downs - Start the path to adventure today!
