Sounds tricksy. Also sounds, especially at only Night 2, that he more than likely remains a villager. Unless we don't get any more people joining the game...sort of a low tally so far.

Meh, I find the role of a mytho to be flawed but nevermind that. This should be a good game since I'm in it and I've got a bad habit of keeping things interesting especially for the new comers. Well this game will probably continue till after the 20th Feb so I get the next spot as mod, right?

I would like to play, if the rest of you are all game for it.
Here's why you may not be: I only have internet access for three days out of the week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This being the case, I will have a handicap on me because I will not be around for some of the DAYS, I won’t be able to read everybody’s posts, so I won’t get as clear an idea of bad and good people, if I am a wolf, my fellow wolves will not have my input half the time, and if I am a gifted, the guesses I make at night will be only half based on what little I am able to read. Saying thus, you must realize that I will not be the only person handicapped, but the entire village populace will be. But, you see, if I do play, and as these problems will definitely be there, it will add some sort of challenge to everybody. Will you trust me, or will you not? Will what posts I get in prove me guilty or innocent? Will your fears of my possible wolfishness drive you to kill me almost at once, or will you wait a while. . .wait an watch. . .? Until people start clamoring for me to kicked off the list of players, I would like to be considered in. However, as soon as people think that I shouldn’t play, I won’t put up a fuss about leaving. --------------------------- Before I go, I’d like to say that I’m very averse to the idea of there being a mythomaniac. I just don’t like the idea. . .like Firefoot. . . – Folwren

Well It looks like I will get to play after all! I 'm a little scraped up and bruised....But I'm in! So addicting...... I think the mythomaniac could be cool but, it does seem a little confusing. Folwen If others don't care, I say you can play...But I can't say I won't vote for you sooner than later

That's fine. I won't put up a fuss. What if I turn out to be a wolf? Then it'd be better if you had already told me you'd get rid of me sooner than later. . .

Mythos are great in the right circumstances ie in big games where you aren't quite sure an extra wolf is justified. In my game the Mytho deliberately chose to be a wolf!!!!

This doesn't look (so far at least) like it is likely to be a very large game. And on the 2nd night your Mytho knew who the wolves were? Or can the Mytho use his power any time after the 1st day?

Jenny, in the game Mith is talking about I was the mytho, and it did very much sway the game for the wolves. It was morm that I chose to be like because to me (and about half the village) it seems very obvious that he was a wolf. But this will be different in every game, because it depends whether you have a loudmouth as a wolf or someone quieter who is unlikely to be chosen.
And no, the mytho can only use their power on the second night.

*giggles at grumbling*
Maybe they'll manage a double lynching or something in the Big People WW instead of this Little People WW and we'll get more players... Can't wait for the game to start... *sits back to watch the calendar like a hawk.* If I go ahead and cross days off my calendar, did they really happen?

Do you know where the setting will be yet Kitanna? I was thinking of a job and wanted to wait till you posted the details before I chose one. If you already posted it, sorry.

The mytho doesn't just have the ability to square the game away for the wolves though - it can also do it for the village - a.k.a. that game where the mytho turned seer... oh, right, that was me... The wolves didn't stand a chance.
On paper (or on the screen...) the mytho sounds really cool, but I don't think that it is effectually a good role. The mytho is just too much of a power-player - that one person has so much sway over the game, especially in a smaller game like this is looking to be. |

I'm not bothered about Folwern playing, everyone seemed leenient (spl?) with me in my first game because of lack of computer access (and then they started to get suspicious... )

Oh Kitty dear, you were so unlucky ... to be perhaps the most gifted seer ever and to be completely ignored!!!!! I will never forget TGWBS announcing his cunning plan to lynch Kitanna ..then get the Seer to tell all..... Personally I think the mytho is preferable to the Cursed since it is a wild card. But I think it needs a bigger game than this may be . It was overwhelming in my game of 13 ...especially with such clever wolves.

I like the cursed but I have never seen it played out yet. The mytho seems a little much, unless more people sign up! I can wait to start!

Well, this game is pretty small so mytho and cursed are both out. And you guys can start giving me your occupations now. But if you would also include your gender. I know that sounds silly as I'm 90% sure I know who's a male and who's female, but just to be sure.
And finally, I'm stuck on the town name, I'm looking for some suggestions.

My occupation shall be being the Messiah of Rock 'n' Roll and I'll live in an abandoned record company and of course I'd never be seen anywhere without a guitar on my back.

Oh. Well then I am your friendly neighborhood tax collecter, and the rich luxury in which I live is merely a sign of the importance of my position and the high esteem of my fellow villagers.

I think I'll be a seemstress with dull siccors that have broken tips. . .so no one can accuse me of killing anyone with them. As for my needle, it's stuck in the sewing machine, so I couldn't very well get it out to hurt anyone with that. I don't use pins.
How I manage to make them under such circumstances, I don't know, but I make gorgeous clothes, both for males and females. How's that sound? I decided I'd probably let my regular character of Jack the Farrier rest a bit. . . -- Folwren P.S. Said seemstress is willing to step out of the game if anyone decides they don't want me playing.

Lets see how the hermiting lifestyle treats me this time: I shall be a hermit, living in a cave. But not a nasssty, drafty cave. A nice, clean warm cave, with a hearth and fire, and all that. I am a male.

I take it that this village is not set in Middle-earth, then...
Well, either way, I shall stick with the tried and true occupation of the person who runs the stables. And I am female. |

I would like to be a village-fool, but as they get lynched at the first possible moment in any crises situation anywhere in the world, I'll stick to being a pipe-weed grower. My pride would be a blending called "Old Soggy", the stuff being quite liberally molassed, that it sticks to one's hand. Tasty though...
I could be male.
