Here's what I could find out:
The symbol K comes from the Latin word "Kalium" which in turn comes from "alkali." So I tried Kalimac, Kalessin, Kath (that one is sort of pushing it, though...), The Ka, Alcarillo, Alkanoonion, and Alatar (also pushing it a bit), all to no avail. Here also is a list I found of the word Potassium in other languages: Latin: Kalium Czech: Draslík Croatian: Kalij French: Potassium German: Kalium - s Italian: Potassio Norwegian: Kalium Portuguese: Potássio Spanish: Potasio Swedish: Kalium Probably excessively over-analyzed ( ), but maybe it will help someone... |

"Ah, but you have to use her proper name, viz THE Ka." ~Saucepan Man
I did...I coppied it from the members list, I tried typing "THE Ka", I tried "The Ka" I tried just plain "Ka" ...the only way I got "Potassio" was by putting in "Potassium".

She is a well-known member of the Downs, although less active on the site these days than she has been in the past. There we are, that should be a big clue ...

Poor Frodo Baggins! His name translates to a full sentence: "I Swindle Baggins."
It's the Italian to English that does it. It comes out the same with the addition of the Oriental languages too. Does Frodo mean "swindle" in Italian? Pippin (Peregrin Took) came out as a sentence as well: "They had admitted Peregrin." Meriadoc Brandybuck, Samwise Gamgee and Bilbo Baggins all came through unscathed! Their names must be the same in all languages! Gandalf the Grey becomes "Gray I gave Gandalf," another sentence in the Yodaspeak. Ah, I can't take any more! Cheers! Lyta

This is hilarious!! ROFL
"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit." became "perforating the track a main title t viv of the bit here" (???) The Hobbit will be a movie! "A main title"! What else could it mean? "Poor Legolas, swamped with fangirls." became "defective Legolas, inundates with fangirls." Legolas is defective? I guess we need a new one. Send him back to the factory, boys. That's covered in the guarantee, right? "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio." became "_ unfortunate, defective Yorick! _ faç of poss of I, Horatio." Another defective character! We should sue! "Sebastian, Dark Crustacean of the Deep! Flee the tyranny of the Evil Lord with a Jamaican accent!" became "_ dark Sebastian, crustacéen one deeply! _ false tyranny of Proteggono getlteman with an accent of the giamaicano!" So he's only pretending to be a dark lord ... ? Now I'm adding Chinese, &c. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit." ~"perforating the immovable characteristic of mord main of title t here that arranj." "Immovable"? So nobody can stop it! YES! "Poor Legolas, swamped with fangirls." ~"Fangirls this est false Legolas, that inundates." I knew Legolas was too clever to allow himself to be swamped! He sent a decoy! "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio." ~"with est å est false ". _ idea of Yorick, Horatio if" I guess he didn't know Yorick as well as he thought ... "Sebastian, Dark Crustacean of the Deep! Flee the tyranny of the Evil Lord with a Jamaican accent!" ~"Crustacéen est Sebastian, that caus dark deep of est, important false voice of Jamaikaners of the autocracy of the majority of the material that is spilled!" Did the important false voice of Jamaikaners tell the autocracy of the majority to pick up the spilled material? My username remained untouched ... my signature: Original: ~I'm twice as tall as half of you and half as short as twice of you! ~It said all that? ~It's a highly efficient tongue. You can fit a whole book on a napkin. Translation: _ _ you est short half and two raised to degree of two degrees half - est! _ _ - est completely? _ _ - this language, that valid end of est _, knew of est with est lucky sistemazioni yet this napkin _ So ... we have short halves, there is a valid end of est and the sistemazioni would be lucky except for the napkin? Hilarious! Second edit: I HAD to add this ... "Ride now! Ride now! Ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending! DEATH!" became _ hour to the automobile of gir! _ hour to the automobile of gir! _ to the automobile of gir! _ the verification has proven t or mont a horse not not an automobile for the summary world! _ morr! _ ...?
