What we have been waiting for!
May 15th everyone! Stick that in your brains, for according to Entertainment Tonight that is the day ROTK is coming to video and DVD! Anyone hear anything about the extended edition yet? I am assuming that its release date will be moved up too.

If anybody is interested, I've found a link to the package art for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy box set. Worth taking a look at - it's pretty nice, actually. It also has a little bit of information about the box set - when it will be released, what it will include, suggested retail price, and the like.

Actually the day is May 25th
TheOneRing.net But, yes, this is very exciting. I can't wait. And I am so glad that we will not have to wait until August. May is really the proper time. I have always thought that we have had to wait much too long for the first two films.

I swear ET said the 15th but they never tell the truth about anything. The one ring is better for this news so the 25th it is.

Actually, this is kinda sad, but a friend at school (who is a reliable source) said that the EV isn't coming out until Christmas!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know, it's a LONG time to wait, and I really hope that for once he is wrong, cause I want to see it so bad. But hey, we can always watch the theatrical version a million times, right?

May 15th, 25th... it's just ten days off.... it's still BEFORE SUMMER!!
So either way, hopeless addicts can still have their crazy 9-hour marathons in the summer! Whee!

Sounds fine and I'll be buying for sure, but there is a superb quality RoTK 'copy' out on the web at the moment that has helped keep me sane these past few weeks, till the official release of course!
Has anyone else come across that yet?

EEK! *gives little squeak very unbecoming to maiden of Gondor*
Where'd you find a bootleg copy of ROTK? All I can find are the stupid trailers, and the Elusive Spirit has been begging me for a copy of the whole movie. Grrr... found Finding Nemo a month before release, why isn't ROTK on my fave bootleg website?
