That's cool. I'd love to do my hair like that and dress like an elf for a LOTR convention. Unfortunately, it'd take a while to grow it out (my longest hair right now is maybe an inch).
Maybe I can find a nice wig!

Wow, what a neat site! I'm glad to see that other people are interested in the elven hairstyles. I think that's part of the reason I keep my hair long, so I can pretend to be an elf more easily! =)

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to to on yourself, and I don't think I trust any of my friends to let them anywhere near the back of my head I've spent long enough getting my hair to a conviniently "braidable" length. I don't want it all hacked off Plus there's the problem that it looks really complicated, but I'm going to get it done somehow, someday...

IT WORKS!!! Yay!!! I just spent an entire hour trying to get my hair to look like that. I did the side braids, which is a major accomplishment since my hair behaves like Shelob's web (thick and uncontrollable unless you threaten it with an Elf-blade)most of the time. Practice is definitely needed, but the basic idea is there. I tried the back, which is too hard to do at 11:30 pm when you're tired and your arms hurt. I'm so excited! I am definitely going to have to wear this somewhere. Like school...
Thank you for posting this!!!
