Arwen TM with light up Evenstar and poisoned Frodo TM (oh goodness...)
Asfaloth with galloping action! Ringwraith with sword slashing action!
Well guys, what do you think?
Personally, I think 'oh no!' It kind of makes me laugh for some odd reason for Frodo to have a trademark.

Well they have to make sure that another company does not make their own Frodo action figure. Imagine how many unoffical ones there would be if they did not have it trademarked.
though it is kind of strange how commercial all of this has become.

Oh, I want that! That looks so cool!
Just the other day I was thinking how much I would love an Aragorn action figure with a jumping action. It would come with an Amon Hen set, and what you do is place him on top and slam your hand down on a switch, causing Aragorn to leap down onto an Uruk, yelling "Elendil!". I know... my sad mind...

My wife has been picking up the action figures for the kids when she comes across them at a good price. Her latest was Legolas complete with skateboarding shield. Hey, it made me laugh.
H.C.

Well, it gave me a good laugh anyways Frodo's limbs and Arwen's hands are WAY out of proportion. They look trippy

The Ringwraith's horse looks like it is preparing to take a dump. Brings a whole new meaning to "action figure", I guess.

The red and black text quote of "A HALFLING HAS THE RING OF POWER! FIND HIM! BRING ME THE ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL" really cracked me up. It's just screaming to attract customers. I wonder what Tolkien would think of this?

A HALFLING HAS THE RING OF POWER! FIND HIM! BRING ME THE ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL"
Yes, I did think that was funny. The main reason I found the action figures funny is because they make me think of Barbie. I don't mind a few action figures and such, but sometimes I think the commercialisation goes a bit over the top.
And didn't Burger King use LotR somehow? What does everyone think about that?

Makes me want to ralph. (sorry to all who liked it). All this commercialism makes me kind of angry. Asfaloth looks like he just escaped from the Ringwraith Training Stables and Arwen looks a bit sick to her stomach. However, I too think that the Amon Hen Aragorn thing would be awesome, except I would break it by looking at it. I have a tendency to do that sort of thing.

I have the horse with Arwen and Frodo...but obviously I don't play with it. Whenever I have money to waste I buy these type of things and but tem on "display" in my room ( like my elven brooch and evenstar pendant).

quote:
Arwen, the young Elven princess known as the She-Elf...

Okay, two things here. How is she known as the She-Elf, when she's only called that by the Nazgul? I always thought she was known as the Evenstar. And then it says she's a YOUNG elven princess! HA! That cracked me up when I read that! She's over two thousand years old! Someone didn't watch the movie, never mind read the books!

All this commercialism of Tolkien's works really makes me sick! Why do they have to wring money out of just about everything?!?!
Although, for that Aragorn on Amon Hen figurine, I'd be the first one in line! I can just imagine him yelling, "Elendil!"
