Here's a delightfull little song I found in "A Tolkien Treasury" I especially like the last verse.

tune: Puff the Magic Dragon

Smaug the magic dragon lived on the heath,
And in the lonely Mountain lay with treasure underneath.
Little Bilbo Baggins set off one summer day
With Gandalf and a bunch of dwarves to steal the gold away.

CHOURUS: Smaug the magic dragon lived on the heath,
And in the Lonely Mountain lay with treasure underneath.
(twice)

The dwarves, when caught by goblins, excaped with Gandalf's aid,
And Bilbo found a magic ring, that Gollum had mislaid.
They left the goblins puzzled, who thought it very weird
How thirteen dwarves, a wizard, and a hobbit disappeared.
CHORUS

They journeyed from the Forest: From the path they strayed.
They'd've all been spider-food without the hobbit's aid.
Escaping out the Mirkwood. the dwarves arrived Dale,
Floating down the river cleverly disguised as kegs of ale.
CHORUS

They journeyed to the Mountain to find the dragon's store,
And Bilbo helped to find and open up a secret door.
The dwarves were all delighted when their burgler stole a cup,
But Bilbo wondered what would happen when old Smag woke up.

The dragon, when awakened, was terribly perturbed,
Suspecting men of Laketown when he found his gold disturbed.
He flew with burning vengeance to leave the city charred,
But perished with his heart pierced by an arrow shot by Bard.

The Mountain King returned, the river flowed with gold,
And Mr. Baggins turned at last back toward his hobbit hole.
Returning from adventure, from war and dragon's lair,
He found Lobelia walking off with all his silverware.

i liked the puff the majic dragon somg when i was a kid. and know, that i found out it could mean smoking pot, i like it even more [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

You mean that the puff the magic dragon song means smoking pot??!! Since when? I've never heard that before; I sing that song with my kid cousin all the time, I guess I can't anymore [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] . That's not gonna make her a happy camper.
