How do you make your computer play an audio clip whenever it starts the desktop? I my comp to the beginning poem read by Galadriel in FoTR movie or maybe the Nazghul's cry =) Anyway, if any computer buffs out there got any clues on how to do this I would owe you one!

BTW I'm new to this board and an avid Tolkien addict so hopefully I will fit right in!!!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know it doesn't belong in THE BOOKS or really in any of our forums. Still, I will move it to NOVICES AND NEWCOMERS since you are brand new here.

Go to your control panel. Then select "desktop themes". When it comes up there will be a button that says "pointers, sounds.." Click it. Then select the "sounds" tab. Go down the list and find "start up windows" Highlight it. Now type in the file path to the sound you want.
This will probably work, but I've never tried it myself.
