White Tree Few questions to elrond

While I´m reading my silmarillion I wonder If elronds father is still alive in valinor, cause he was allowed to life there, or did returned he at some point to middle earth. Was Elrond and his brother all his childhood raised by a son of feanor, because I read that Elwing and Earendil went over the sea, because they thought their kids were death.

Because of his lineage could he be considert as greater than galadriel, cause he is the decent of a maiar and luthien? For example which return to valinor (Galadriel or Elrond) would be more spectacular?

Neither.
Look at a clear morning or evening sky. See that bright star that's always the first to show up, the last to fade? That's Elrond's Dad.

The indications from The Silmarillion are that after the sack of the havens of Sirion, in which Elrond and Elros were captured by the sons of Fëanor, they never saw their birth parents again.

Maglor, Fëanor's second son raised them, while Eärendil and Elwing made their voyage to Valinor. They never returned to Middle-earth, unless you count Eärendil's fighting in the War of Wrath, where he apparently never set foot on the ground.

But Elwing, his mother is still alive, as a half elven who choosed the fate of the full elves?!?! And how old was elrond when he was captured by the sons of feanor and what was the reason, I already read that in the silmarillion, but I can´t remember.
